So £736 or £752 using the student discount codes. Nice.

So with both of these that’s an extra £130 off so the total price should be in the region of £720

For anyone seeing the comments about the pixel substructure and worrying. Stop. It’s absolutely ridiculous. See images, one is my Dell 1440p IPS S2721DGF with standard RGB in vertical substructure, the other is the Alienware AW3423DWF with QD OLED triangle substructure.
As far as I’m concerned in an absolute none issue for text at a normal seating position.
Please bear in mind that my phone (iPhone 14 Pro) is an inch away from the screen in macro mode so you’ll see some weird rainbow stuff on both being picked up that you don’t see in person, but just showing the black text on a white background.
Thank you OP - worried about the black bars while watching movies but I hope I get used to it
Will I get screen burn? (edited)
Also have a LG Oled TV and that shows signs of image retention after a few minutes of static images on screen this monitor is completely different and shows nothing.
It does ask to do a pixel refresh every 4-5 hours, lasts about 5 mins but I let it run just to be safe.
The display is utterly stunning, I cannot fault the image quality at all and I notice zero issues with text that other people have described, it really is a step up for gaming
However.. There is a horrible electronic type screech coming from the monitor at all times, similar reports of this on reddit. Does not appear to be a fan noise
Also, my box arrived fairly heavily damaged and the security tape on the box was cut, I'm almost certain dell sent me a return/refurb unit someone sent back likely due to the coil whine!
Spoke to dell and they're replacing without any argument
Fingers crossed the next panel is fine

I work from home so the resolution/productivity is important, I’m not sure if the issues with text and lower res offsets the fact that it’s OLED enough..?
Maybe it’s something that LED TVs benefit from but once you’ve tried OLED even in SDR, nothing compares at all. This screen is no different. I turned HDR off in windows as it was a bit too bright when I’m playing games in the dark. Using the Peak 1000 setting it was crazy bright when sitting half a metre away.
A really good review a friend sent to me, whilst debating over which version to get.
I know it will have black bars either side, but I'm interested to know if the HDR will function with the consoles properly or not.
Thanks!
The GSync monitor can get TopCashback of 1% and with this discount code it would be £1011.07 (excluding cashback). (edited)
