    fab deal!

But during my shop yesterday i went to three different supermarkets and all three had no tomatoes, cucumbers or eggs!

is there some sort of shortage on these?
    gt94sss2's avatar
Eggs = Bird Flu in many countries around the world

Tomatos = adverse weather in Spain and Morocco + UK producers not wanting to warm greenhouses due to high energy costs

These deals are notoriously difficult to get to track and reach payment stage. If you make a completely new order and leave it unchanged right up till delivery you may be OK.

But changing an order in any way between first creation and delivery will probably cost you the fiver.
    Pualle's avatar
    I know what you mean.

Whenever I do one of these, I ensure that the order is fully complete before check out. I check with my family and nobody is allowed to adjust the order once I've checked out.

I also tend to add extra in case of substitutions or missing items. It's better to spend £10 extra and get the £5 discount, than spend £49 and get no cash back.

A couple of queries about this promotion that hopefully the TCB Rep will be able to answer if they happen to pop by -
    1) Does this apply to click+collect orders regardless of whether they are collected during the offer period?
    2) My normal Tesco order would not normally get cashback from any of the specified categories on the Tesco cashback page, so will this bonus £5 still pay out even if there is no other 'standard' cashback attached to the purchase?
    Juzza12's avatar
    2) “Existing Customer Click + Collect
There is no cashback from Tesco for Existing Customer Click + Collect however, these transactions will qualify for the £5 Opt-in bonus provided they are purchases of £50+.”
  4. Wr09's avatar
I did this for a Tesco one last year, never received, the TCB person on here said message me I'll sort it, so I did, and nothing

Edit: they recontacted me, and I now have Octobers cashback as Payable and in my account (edited)
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
that doesn't sound right. Drop us a DM though and I will investigate it and look into why you didn't get it and award it if needed. We do respond back to all DMs here.

    Tesco never tracks for me

Is this an upload receipt thing ? Or online order?
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Online orders (both click and collect and delivery) - Matt

Why do my Ocado shops keep tracking at £0? I spend £60-£100 a week.
    tonyawesome69's avatar
    This might be the reason.

    Ocado T&Cs:
"Cashback is not eligible after the 5th order, including any orders made directly through the retailer."
  8. Donaldson8307's avatar
Does this apply to in store purchases?
    morning's avatar
The terms and conditions say the purchase has to be made "through TopCashback". I suppose this means online orders only.
  9. Cro_Baron's avatar
    Is alcohol included in purchases?
    tonyawesome69's avatar
You'll have to check each supermarket T&Cs. In general yes it is included.

    General exclusion from cashback:
"This merchant calculates cashback excluding VAT, delivery and any other charges."
  10. Superman_turbo_pro_3000's avatar
Is Petrol allowed? - It's online orders only. (edited)

  11. eset12345's avatar
Does it have to be delivered during the promotional period? Or is placing a delivery order for a later date fine as long as its above £50 at the time of the order

Does amending said order then cancel out the cashback? (edited)
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, you can arrange the delivery for any date you like, the order just needs to be placed within the promotional period. For amendments, this will depend on the retailer's terms and conditions as to what effect this will have on the cashback so please check the individual retailers page. If you do need any help with a particular retailer, please let us know - Liberty
  12. a_d123's avatar
Does this stack with discount codes from the supermarket (Asda £20 off new customers)? And does amending an order work to track this?
    kevin73's avatar
Yes, it stacks with existing cashback offers.

You can't just amend an existing order. You need to place a new order.
If you then amend that order, Asda won't pay out. From Asda terms:

If any part of your order is changed following the initial purchase then you won't be eligible for cashback.

I'm still waiting on £51 topcashback from the Giffgaff deal on the Sony Experia 1 iv deal on here taking ages they have been looking into it so they say
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, transactions can take a few months to progress to payable so this isn't taking longer than we'd expect, we just need the retailer to confirm the transaction as eligible and pass over the funds. We will progress this as soon as we can for you - Liberty
  14. fredjweaver's avatar
What a surprise. Doesn't track. Anyone else had this?
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, sorry to hear your transaction hasn't tracked. You're probably doing this anyway, but just to remind you of some of our tracking tips include clearing your cookies and cache, disable ad blockers, and close all other tabs before clicking through. If you'd like us to dispute this for you, please lodge a missing cashback claim - Liberty

Hey, this isn't a snap and save deal, this is through using our site to order your groceries from one of the included supermarkets. You would need to place an order online using our site after activating this bonus - Liberty

So ASDA are not currently showing cash back for existing customers only new ones, I assume this means the £5 won't be paid to existing customers??? IS THE TOPCASHBACK REP HERE TO ANSWER THIS PLEASE??
    Edited:
Interesting, the existing customer £3 has reappeared! Excellent, thanks if the rep is listening (edited)
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
I can confirm both a new and existing rate is showing for Asda currently. sorry about it temporarily not showing!

The last 8 shops with Ocado was declined? Any reason why? I simply can't take the risk but if it's declined again so will the £5 bonus

To be very frank, I much prefer the £5/£2 cashback offer. Kindest regards

Does this promotion apply to instore orders also?
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, this is just for online orders as the bonus is activated through the click through on our site - Liberty
  20. GM1954's avatar
Wonder if it applies to gift card purchases? Nationwide are currently giving 5% cashback on supermarket purchases so if the two offers could be combined it would give a nice 15% off a £50 purchase.
    tonyawesome69's avatar
You need to check the T&Cs of each supermarket but in general no cashback is given for giftcard purchases.

e.g. it's clear cashback not given for GC through Asda

My asda transactions always get declined.
    morning's avatar
Are you using Asda gift card for payment? If you are, then this is the reason as Asda does not pay cashback on purchases made with gift cards (discovered this after a few purchases were declined and I found it in the Ts and Cs). However, if you are using a debit/credit card, there must be a mistake as my purchases are confirmed when I pay with a debit/credit card.

I did this last time with morrisons and it didn’t track. Put in a claim and it paid out although it took a while
  23. Sheldontheduck's avatar
Kindly clarify, is this for walk-in shopping ?
    morning's avatar
The terms and conditions say the purchase has to be made "through TopCashback". I suppose this means online orders only.
  24. Donaldson8307's avatar
Will I still get the £5 Bonus if I made a £50 order but the final charges went below £50 because some products were out of stock?
    Jay_Ma's avatar
No…. That’s why we say cashback is just a bonus and should not bother if it’s paid or not (edited)
  25. Donaldson8307's avatar
I'm still waiting on £81 topcashback from a broadband deal 6 months ago.

Made an Asda order yesterday as a new customer (not shopped there online before) and hasn’t tracked on my account, not the £5 bonus or the new customer amount. Anyone else have this issue?

TopCashback rep - how long to wait before I need to log this?
    mark9915's avatar
Mine has tracked as a new Morrisons customer (I’m not) and the bonus has not yet tracked, I believe you need to give it seven days before opening a ticket which may then take months to resolve as this is what happened to me for my previous Morrisons order that did exactly the same thing!
  27. vivarui's avatar
Nice, I will take advantage of this. Thanks
  28. budgiebridie's avatar
Does anyone know if it is £50 including or excluding VAT?
    budgiebridie's avatar
I'll answer my own question, for Ocado at least: "This merchant calculates cashback excluding VAT, delivery and any other charges."
  29. tneyugn's avatar
Damn, I just ordered like 79£ 3 days ago, should I order another one batch more just for the sake of 5£ 😥

    timmy88's avatar
I tried via PayPal before and it didn’t track. I’m just using my nationwide debit card to be safe. (If u have a nationwide account I think they are doing 5% cashback on all grocery orders at the moment

    tonyawesome69's avatar
Refer to supermarket T&Cs as they generally reject cashback when using giftcards

"Purchases of a gift card or purchases made using a gift card won't be eligible for cashback." (edited)
