    Picked up the 175 set with screwdrivers for £153.54. As above but used a e-gift card that offers another 8% off (worth checking with work benefit schemes etc).

    Will only use this for general DIY and servicing the car so I’m happy. I’m a little heavy handed so if something breaks then bonus it will be replaced

    Is there much in the bigger set that makes spending the extra much more worthwhile for someone who would just use this for bikes and a bit of car DIY and around the home stuff etc?

    I am asking the same question myself. But I think yes as other day I was changing a rubber seal in the bath tap and extra deep socket was needed which I think is not included in smaller set. So I reckon there will be definitely a case when some extra bit is needed.

    The description isn't complete and initially I thought having a 1/2" drive for a 14mm socket is overkill.
    Looking at the website, though, shows 1/4" drive goes up to 14mm, 3/8" up to 19mm and 1/2" up to 27mm. Good logical spread and covers most of the sizes you'd need on even a bit more in depth auto/home work. Also, all 6 point sockets which should save some older nuts and bolts.

    Lifetime warranty does not make a quality tool. It means what you've bought is cheap enough to replace free of charge indefinitely. These are professional tools and they know the userbase will be getting light use at most.

    If they were cheap tat then you'd be seeing it all over the reviews? Cheap enough indefinately perhaps but will also be down to a smaller percentage of returns across the board no matter how cheap so the quality must be there to an extent?
