You cant turn night vision off, with this model.
That's only an issue if you intend to point it out of the window, the IR reflection from the glass will impact any footage.
The IMOU equivalent is also at £23 right now on Amazon, which does allow night vision to be disabled.

You can switch night mode off in the app. Top right hand of the screen, press 'auto' to switch between auto/day/night mode

Yeah I've been using this camera for a long time now. The app seems to have gotten worse for cutting out when streaming the video live

The motor on this is very slow. The image quality and features aren't too bad..

Have some other Tapo products, nice because no hub or subscription required and a trusted brand. Thanks OP.

I have YI 1080p pan and tilt cameras which have worked well but I think they only take up to 64gb cards, will try the Tapo 3mb camera

I have 3 of them, have found them to be glitchy just the once in the nearly 8 months I've had the 3mb versions (c210)
Is definitely recommend it. Personally I see nothing wrong with the app either

I've got 3 different external Tapo cameras which I use as wildlife cameras but also keeping an eye on the house if I'm away. The quality of the 3k one is excellent, albeit oversharpened. During last week the picture in colour by full moonlight was surprisingly good.
My only gripe is the app and tiny pictures for me to review the video. If there's only a few it isn't a problem but if there's a spit of rain in the air it creates many, almost continuous, false alarms. I've tried altering the sensitivity but so far I haven't been able to reduce the false alarms while still picking up any animals that come into the garden.
I also have a Netvue camera with built-in battery which has a much better app.

Great camera, tempted to order another! Great app and very customisable too... Just be warned tho that the recordings on the internal SD card are useless if your camera gets nicked too! Just a thought. A cloud solution for a price is available if you want total peace of mind. (edited)

You can use the Google Opinions Reward App to fund the play balance to pay towards the cloud subscription, technically making it free

Can you view the camera on a Windows 10 computer like you can with YI cameras? (edited)
