    Next April bill will go up and it will be percentage increase will be applied to bill amount before discounts, so in this case the bill will be about £150 pm. If the increase was the same as this year, around 15% , then that will be an additional £22 on your bill.

    That is sneaky and I'm fairly sure most consumers would not be aware of that, and would assume the increase would be on the discounted amount they pay?

    Won’t it be better. If you buy this in. April. As if you buy now your contract will go up in April. Considering the original price of the contract is over £100 the increase will reflect on the original price.

    They were about to increase my bill by 25% but I contacted their WhatsApp service and had the increase removed. In fact I’ve been on this package for years at the same price.

    Hi,

    I took out top package deal with virgin with the £25 sim, I called o2 and managed to change the Sim to a data only sim at £10pm and it didnt effect my Virgin package. Try asking for something like that

    if already on o2 you can take off the sim too, im paying £54 a month on same bundle from year ago as didnt need the sim.

    I received letter too - but it clearly stats that my price wont change until current price offer ends -
    VM is bit random - some contract price don't change for the term and some get letters like you, but I am sure they will give you credit of £9 for next 6 months when you call them

    I re-signed up last summer to this deal and will now have £4 increase in the O2 SIM (but no increase the virgin package) next month. I cannot cancel the 02 contact directly. However, the email from virgin states that I can cancel my virgin contract "including my volt O2 SIM". Do you think this is correct? (edited)

    I am unsure re cancelling the sim, but you can as the OP has said and done, reduce the £25 sim to the lowest amount - say £8 and you will still get Volt benefits. I and many others have done this with no issues

    can you confirm how and when you did this?
    i.e. call them straight after signing up? wait for o2 sim to arrive?
    And how do you know they won't then decline the £197 cashback?

    I think if your dependent on the cashback then any changes could threaten this. I changed mine also to £8pm but it was a good few months after I took the package. Cancelling is a risk I think. I have read that many have downgraded the sim cost easyily enough, but really bar the odd person (don't know them well enough to credit it) I've not heard of anyone cancelling the O2 outright. It must affect the contract and/or cashback

    It's a big fall from Sky Q in my experience. A really clumsy, outdated OS. Sky Q is the best in the business, mind you I sacrificied that experience for better value and would do so again - but be prepared to be underwhelmed with their set up

    New customer service deal again. Last time I said to save me all the aggro of me cancelling and my missus opening a new account just cut me some slack and sort out some goods.. Didn't do too bad out of it manged to get 500mb and a few extra channels for what I was paying for already

    Read over the new terms, price will increase from April 2024 at the RPI rate of inflation, as this annual price increase is provided for in your terms, there is no right to cancel given for this price increase from April 2024. I think a lot of people are going to be in for a shock thinking they'll be able to cancel or get the charges dropped, but as it's in the terms and conditions now it looks like it's a no go.

    Lukewarm deal at best. This comes around every couple of months and was last available in February with an additional £6 off the monthly cost (reduced from £85 to £79) and a choice of £200 bill credit or 43" LG 4K TV worth £379.99. Bear in mind TCB could be declined if already receiving an incentive.

    Guys, I am on VM 500 and my biggest concern is ping/latency as I play pro/competitively in a certain fps title. Does anyone know what is the best provider to go for? I've been with VM for 10 years now and thinking its time for a change.

    Got the 250mb /25mb and basic TV. £27pm but tcb did not track or show in account. I assume this was down to a delay in installation (1 month). So looks like I've lost out on £120. Lodged a claim ticket but nothing will be submitted for something like 70 days. So if you are banking on the cashback be careful it might never happen.

    Back to sky in 17 months as a new customer and vice versa. No need for loads of channels when you have apps and more apps (paid netflix from turkey).

    One thing to note, I got a "new TV box" from them with someone else's X 5 netflix profiles set up on it.

    So sending any kit back, sky included, remember and set to factory settings.

    Currently waiting for a call from virgin about leaving. We’ve been given a letter from Toob broadband £25 a month 18 month contract free installation and £50 Amazon voucher…

    Virgin are saying they are likely going to Match it for me at £25 a month. If not I will leave but it sounded quite promising.

    "Your first bill will also include CR £150 for one-off costs such as installation, delivery and purchase of additional accessories"

    It doesn't explicitly say that the bill credit will be used to pay the monthly subscription bill? Or am I misinterpreting that?

    Your monthly bill should be taken off your credit first and then once that is finished they will take it via direct debit

    Like we have discussed, even you will cancel the O2 service soon. You will still pay £85 a month.
    The £85 is the discounted price for this bundle with or without the SIM. It's just that with the SIM included we spread the cost across all services. Hope that clarifies?

    I have just signed up for this today and it is 2 different contracts, one from Virgin for £60 and one from O2 for £25. I am sure the O2 one can be cancelled without changing the price of the Virgin one but can't be sure about effect on cashback and speed boost etc.
