The Marhaba Salem Hotel spreads a big selection of pools and activities around its beachfront plot. This place has a sandy beach right at the foot of its palm-filled gardens. And thanks to its central setting, there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. You'll get all the perks of this hotel's next-door neighbour – the Marhaba Royal Salem. That means a combined tally of three pools, plus castle-themed waterslides.

Pools
The three pools are shared with sister hotel the Marhaba Royal Salem. The main one has three waterslides sprouting from a sand-coloured castle, and a section reserved just for children.
As well as the pool with slides, there’s a long, rectangular pool that’s great for getting some lengths in. There's an indoor number, too

Food & Drink
The buffet restaurant serves a good spread at breakfast, including cooked-to-order eggs, pastries and fresh fruit. Dinner, meanwhile, sees international and Tunisian dishes laid out.

Entertainment
Dance shows are put on beside the pool, and there's a bar where you can order cocktails.

Sports & Activities
The hotel has two tennis courts, a minigolf course, and a ping pong table set up beside one of the pools. On top of that, there’s a children’s playground, plus activities like archery, belly dancing classes and volleyball.

Health & Beauty
Over at the Marhaba Royal Salem, there’s a spa* with a sauna and a Turkish bath, plus a salon for hair and beauty treatments*. You can use the gym and indoor pool there, too.

Facility Summary
The Marhaba Salem Hotel shares a handful of facilities with its nearby sibling, the Marhaba Royal Salem. You can swim in three pools – one of them comes with a trio of slides. On the food front, there’s a buffet restaurant serving local and international dishes. Entertainment takes in things like dance troupes, and during the day there are activities like tennis, minigolf and archery. Spa treatments are on the cards, and there's a gym and a salon, too.

Rooms
All rooms come with a balcony, TV, mini-fridge and Wi-Fi, plus there's air-conditioning during the summer months.

Poor hotel, outdated. They don't turn the Aircon on until mid/late June so be prepared if it is a warm one. Pools are saltwater. There is one tiny fresh water pool but it is attached to the kids pool and not great

If you do decide to go though, One good thing though is the A La Carte which is included for one night of your stay and is very good

We were thinking about booking this hotel for September. Didn't realise it had an A la carte. Is it really that bad a hotel?

Can I ask what you use to track the price of a hotel other than manually checking daily?

Not a very nice country for western holidays, if you like fish with the heads still on as a meal then Tunisia is the place for you. Lots of Russians holiday there...
