I am Bulgarian and wouldn't go anywhere near sunny beach!

End of may, start of June is IMHO the best time to visit Sunny Beach - it's the start of the season, so not too crowded and not too hot.

The all inclusive food in Bulgaria is usually better than in Greece, but worse than in Turkey.

Good to hear, we are going exactly on the 26th, but to different hotel!

I'd watch the series on E4 before booking if you were thinking of going with kids

I'm surprised this has not got more heat. It is during school holidays and if the hotel is suitable for kids, this is a very good price. Hot! (edited)

95% of all Inc hotels are awful in Bulgaria. There's only the mastic and Helena park/sands that are any good.

For this price use it for the free drinks and eat in some of the lovely restaurants that are dead cheap.

Bulgaria used to be cheap and not too crowded, now it's changed into something completely different.

Yes the Russians own everything but there's little or no crime, I went for 10 years and never saw a policeman.

Once when it went off in a nightclub, two cars turned and "sorted it" very quickly.

There are far worse places to go, yes everything is knockoff and you can buy it ten minutes away for 1/5 of the price, but once tiu get to know the bar and restaurant owners it's guaranteed weather, cheap as chips and not rowdy.

Have to disagree with your comment that those 2 are the only good ones. Iberostar was fantastic when we went. Now changed name to the Melia I believe.

Could someone please recommend a good hair n bodywash to keep mozzies away. Son goes Tanzania safari on Mon, has malaria tabs, deet, but will get bitten. Thank you

Done a few of these lads holidays over the years, Malia, Kavos, Ibiza etc they are all the same, just lots of drunk people looking for a good time, sun, sex, cheap food, cheap alcohol, NOS balloons, STIs. Didn’t manage Sunny Beach but it was always in the offerings of club 18-30, I’m too old (and married) now but back in the day would have been all over this, but certainly wouldn’t be going now.
