Don't they usually just get powered from the USB at the back of the TV? (I have a Now TV dongle that works like that. Been thinking of upgrading to Chromecast.)

Looking for one of these to use as a kodi box, got my hands on a 2017 Sony Google TV and it works great with Kodi as the launcher. Looking to test with the cheaper HD version to make sure it works OK before I splash on the 4K version.
Was interested in this deal till I didn't get the £4.41 discount. Only works out £5 more expensive buying it here so not worth it IMHO.

Really love my Google Chromecast 4k with Google TV. Just be aware the hardware is a bit flaky. I often get strange artefacts and the screen going black for a second which is resolved with a reboot. This behavour happens from when it's first turned on, so can be resolved quickly. Once you've rebooted and it's stable, no problems at all. Still better than having to put up with the awful Fire TV interface. (edited)

Waiting for the 4k version to be on offer directly from Google so I can use my £40 voucher from the glitch few weeks back

If you have a meta quest 2 a Chromecast is the best way to cast.
