Evo - enhanced
LG’s Evo panel maximised OLED’s already impressive picture performance. Brighter and clearer than ever, Evo is a big step up. Now, even Evo has just got better. With this LG 65 inch TV, you get new heat dissipation technology, which makes the picture even brighter than the original Evo screen. For lifelike, brilliant images, the LG OLED65G26LA is simply the best of the best.

Made for the wall – Gallery design
No deeper than a typical heating controller, this slimline, ‘Gallery’ design TV takes pride of place in your room, without dominating it. The latest G-series OLED TVs have a slimmer bezel for even sleeker style. The supplied wall bracket mounts the TV flush to the wall, giving this TV a stunning appearance. (Please note, stand not included but LG ST-G26ST65 stand is available as an additional cost option).

Alpha 9 Gen 5 processing for improved sound and vision
Now in its fifth generation, LG’s mighty Alpha 9 processor optimises sound and vision for spectacular results. Using AI technology, the picture and sound are optimised to best suit the genre – be it movies, sport, gaming or regular TV. With enhancements to picture tone-mapping, background enhancement and upscaling, picture processing is more advanced than ever. Virtual sound channel up-mixing increases from 5.1.2 to 7.1.2, giving an even more enveloping sound on the LG OLED65G26LA.

AI Picture /Sound Pro for professional sound and vision
Using a huge database of over one million visual date points, AI Picture Pro uses deep-learning algorithms to recognise content, remove noise and optimise the picture. AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here, it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality.

Ultimate detail - Dolby Vision IQ
For ultimate detail, in all environments, this LG OLED features Dolby Vision IQ. Dolby Vision IQ version uses data within the signal and light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is. Whether you’re watching a brightly lit sports event or moody movie, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts to suit.

See the picture exactly as originally intended, with Filmmaker Mode
If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Made for gaming – with Game Optimiser and more
The improved Game Optimiser utilises an enhanced gaming menu, giving you quick access to important settings. There are now five game genre presets, including a new one for sports games. Equipped with 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 sockets, this LG TV is designed to get the very best from today’s, and future, games consoles. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) mean that your TV automatically adjusts to the optimised settings for gaming – giving you a smoother and faster response.

4.2 multi-speaker system, AI Sound Pro and Dolby Atmos compatible sound
Featuring an enhanced, 4.2 speaker system, the OLED65G26LA offers more impressive sound than lower models. Power is also up 50% to 60 watts – giving a richer, room-filling sound. Using AI algorithms, AI Sound Pro up-mixes two-channel audio to virtual 7.1.2 sound – producing a much more immersive sound and enhanced dialogue. With a Dolby Atmos processor built-in, this LG 65” TV decodes Atmos sound tracks - giving you the potential for even more enveloping audio.

Welcome home, with LG webOS 22 – the best in smart TV
Widely regarded as one of the best smart TV platforms, LG’s webOS system continues to set the standard. The latest webOS 22 offers improved personalisation and recommendations. You can create up to six personalised profiles, with individual viewing suggestions, sport alerts and app lists.

NFC Magic Tap for content mirroring around your home
You can access your webOS TV profile via your smartphone with the NFC Magic Tap app. Even better, NFC Magic Tap lets you mirror content from your mobile to the TV – and not just a single TV. You can mirror content from one TV in your home, to another, using the Room To Room Share function. This lets you view cable or satellite content on multiple screens, without the need for additional set-top boxes.

The hub of your home entertainment – with voice control
Featuring LG’s ThinQ AI technology, you can control a Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition. With both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, it makes it even easier to control your LG OLED TV and quickly access the entertainment you’re looking for.

Super-stylish, immersive sounding and, above all, stunning to watch, the LG OLED65G26LA is one of the best 65 inch TVs you can buy.

I was going to wait for the G3 to reduce but this is tempting for sure! What do people think? Wait for the G3 to reduce or go G2 (edited)

If you wait for g3 to reduce, that moment you'll be waiting for g4

Thanks top tip is get this deal
locked down from Cex as prices will plummet once everyone else sells to them - take the postal option to lock it in

Heat added. This is the one to get over the LG CS

Great deal. Anyone have any idea on a realistic resale price on ebay for the Bluetooth speaker? I'm struggling to imagine anyone bought them at £599, but wondered if £100-150 on ebay is likely.

Edit: none appear to have sold on ebay, but a smaller version XG7QBK seems to fetch £70-100 easily so £100+ does seem probable. (edited)

You'd likely get more than £150, I think £300 plus in resale for it on ebay, it's similar in size to the jbl boom box 3 which retails for around £400ish I think (edited)

Which ones better, this or the Samsung S95B?
    Tom_Szczepanski's avatar
Well thats a can of worms. It depends what you need, the S95b will be brighter I believe so if you have a bright room that may be better. The G series is meant to be mounted to a wall, so comes without a stand.

Heat added, was about to bite the bullet at £1167 through a work benefit via Hughes however at £1149 plus the speaker (would keep for own use) I think it’s the one!

Edit: Can get for £1139, £10 discount for your first order over £100 if you subscribe to their VIP Club (edited)

Place to get a stand with this?

It’s sold out from everywhere. Have an eye on LGs official website when they restock . I managed to order one this week. Their stock lasted for 1 day. You can get a temporary one from Amazon for 20-25 quid until you manage to order the official one (the model number is SQ G2ST55) (edited)

So tempted to upgrade from my C1 . Is this worth the update and are the extras any good ie the speaker ?
    Flyingzard's avatar
For me if I had a C1 I probably wouldn't upgrade as it has HDMI 2 1, and it's a cracking TV. I am replacing my B7 for it and I think it's a decent jump so I ordered one. No idea on the speaker but may flog it but yet to read up on whether it's worth keeping

Annoying this isn’t included in the 65!!!
    J_Jen's avatar
But you can get the 65 for £1699, which is still a great deal.
  10. sukhi_singh_1's avatar
Its actually a decent speaker, very loud and bassy, heavy as f*** but it’s no way worth £600 I think I’ll take the £250 CEX are offering.
  11. woa_'s avatar
Sold my speaker to CeX for £250 bank transfer same day. Not bad
    sukhi_singh_1's avatar
Same showing 2 in stock within 100 miles of me, Lichfield and Coventry, I’m Coventry, you Lichfield? Lol

What do the previous year’s G models tend to go for? Hoping to pick up a G3 for the MLA screen in 2024.
  13. tinnygotya's avatar
Anyone know if they would swap the free speaker for the G1 sound bar (the free one they included a couple of weeks ago) as that’s something I’d actually use and be enough to make me pull the trigger on the already good deal
  14. gummby's avatar
Not bad if you consider the free speaker. I guess most would sell the speaker?Would get it closer to below 1k.
  15. Flyingzard's avatar
Cracking deal. Thanks for posting OP!

I wonder if the Sony A90J is better for a little more?
    Flyingzard's avatar
I thought the same but DTS issue with xbox series x and lack of uk streaming apps (I think) pushed me to this. Plus the G2 is more than capable!!

    badboyardy's avatar
When did you order - not had anything back?
  21. Flyingzard's avatar
Super impressed with the speaker. Keeping mine as although maybe not worth £600 its not far off. I agree, very heavy so you wouldn't want to lug it far.
  22. badboyardy's avatar
