Thank you I'm 65 and first time I'm going anywhere.
As for money I'd suggest a mix of £ and Turkish lira, as in my experience alot of places happily accept English money (although depends where you go I guess I can't speak for the whole of turkey), and saves you changing up too much lira. I wouldn't bring too much cash though, as you can easily pay on card in alot of places these days, although I'd suggest signing up for something like "revolut" if you haven't got one already. Which has advantages such as not having to bring your main bank card with you, can top-up the account with only what you need, and it usually gives you good exchange rates.
