Maybe but it grinds my gears hearing people telling me not to use a service that I have to fund from my wages even if I never use it. Save the NHS but it's ok for someone from abroad to visit and have a baby costing 50k etc etc (mad) ... rant over
We've booked to stay at this hotel next year in July/August. Changed this years holiday from Corfu due to the uncertainty, but turns out we probably could gave gone.
I've just booked to go to cyprus tomorrow for our honeymoon, we had to go up to Barnard Castle for a test so the results would come back within 24 hours at a cost of £109 each. We could of gone for the NHS one but didn't fancy the risk of the results not coming back in time.
I actually do volunteer. But I take Saturdays as my day off. And no I won't "give it a rest" im sure if you needed a ventilator because of COVID or any other illness and the doctor is to busy to see you that you'd be straight to a lawyer's office.
Cyprus might well be on our corridor list which means we won't have to quarantine on return but we are listed as a category b country by Cyprus which means that to travel there you will need a negative test result from a test taken 72 hours before you arrive, this means either forking out for a private test or wrangling an NHS test which, apart from putting unwarranted extra strain on an already failing system, leaves you at risk of not getting the result back in time and thereby ruining your holiday.
