First time I went to Florida it was for 3 weeks and was amazing. You can do a complete Florida in 2 weeks with planning but it won't be a relaxing holiday, especially if you book at an off peak time The week after Thanksgiving is good for low crowds and is good if you can't take extreme heat, plus you get all the Christmas stuff 2 days Magic Kingdom 1 day Hollywood studios 2 days Epcot (my favourite park, could switch this day to AK) 1 day Animal Kingdom 3 days Universal + Islands of Adventure 1 day at a Waterpark of your choice 1 day Seaworld 1 day Busch Gardens. 1 day left over In terms of hotel vs villa. I've stayed at Southern Dunes and whilst the space and privacy is neat, it's half an hour of extra driving each way. Personally I'd rather go for a nice hotel where you're 10 minutes away from the parks.
But half hour closer to legoland and the Everglades lol
We had the 21 day Disney ticket and only just covered all the Disney parks and what they had to offer in that holiday . Don't try to do all parks in 2 weeks just concentrate on one theme at a time or you will be running around like headless chickens . Do agree universal is good for 14 years and above and the rides are a little bit more extreme than Disney. Don't think there are just Disney universal and seaworld in Florida there are loads of other stuff if you wanted to save a load of money on tickets (y)
You are extremely unlikely to be harmed by a Hurricane in Orlando. I was on holiday just before Irma last year and people from other parts of Florida travelled to Orlando for shelter.
