154 episodes, all seven seasons of the hugely popular political drama series. Winner of 26 Emmys from 95 nominations.

Cutthroat presidential advisers get their personal lives hopelessly tangled up with professional duties as they try to conduct the business of running a country. Fictional Democratic President Josiah "Jed" Bartlet (Martin Sheen) suffers no fools, and that policy alienates many. He and his dedicated staffers struggle to balance the needs of the country with the political realities of Washington, D.C., working through two presidential terms that include countless scandals, threats and political scuffles, as well as the race to succeed Bartlet as the leader of the free world.

Still a great show to watch. There’s been mutterings about a reboot for a while, but think they should leave it be now unless Aaron Sorkin gets writing again.

I think it has probably aged a bit now, modern politics has changed especially in America .

But at the time it was it released this was amazing.

You say that - but Bernie Sanders ran on Medicare for all. There were a couple of other things that became true also...but my minds blank now.

I wondered if was ever going to be a better quality version released as they're watch able but I don't think they're HD video.

I think it's available to stream on All4, which of course has adverts, but it's HD. I think the early series are still 4:3 (streaming and DVD) and they never bothered to replace the 4:3 SD intro sequence.

Amazing show, and still a great watch today, it's become a staple in my house, with my wife now listening to the West Wing Weekly Podcast (which has also finished now) which is also great.

Not immediately relevant to contemporary politics, but it's fiction, with great characters, and there's always Black Mirror if you want a picture of the current day

This arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that only season 1 was used. 2-7 and the bonus discs were all still sealed. What a result. Cheers OP.
