This uses a Ryzen 5 7530u, basically a 5600u with a very slight speed bump. It uses Zen3 cores and PCIe 3, ddr4, unlike the Ryzen 5 7540u, which has Zen4, PCIe 4, ddr 5 and also RDNA3 igpu.
It's still a good processor, but just because it's labled as the Ryzen 7000 range doesn't mean you're getting the latest technology. (edited)

Does anyone here have one who can comment on the speakers ? Are they as bad as the reviews I have seen ?
    cactusjack's avatar
The speakers are average at best and not particularly loud. I had one for a while and even though it's s plastic, it feels solid and well made. The screen is fantastic too. The only slight disappointment is the WiFi card isn't very good. It's a cheap Realtek one. Would definitely recommend upgrading this to something like an Intel AX210 (NOT AX211 as that is Intel only). It was easy enough to swap out.

Unfortunately I had to return mine due to a weird electronic coil whine like noise. I think mine was just bad as I don't recall seeing many reviews mention this. (edited)

For info, there was that bank holiday offer the other day. I did buy the laptop but Lenovo cancelled order after 7 days. This is not a reliable company. Absolutely irresponsible and when googled Lenovo cancelled my ordet I found many state the same experience. Really rubbish!

I ordered one from them when reduced on Lenovo site . Took 2 months to reach UK from China passing various customs 🛃. No local stock now .

Only 16gb Soldered ram when ram is cheap now . Just bought 64gb sodimm pair for £100 . Integrated graphics needs lots of fast ram . (edited)

The graphics in this can only use 2GB ram maximum. 16GB is fine at this price, although it would be nice to have the option to upgrade to more.

How would this be for Photoshop and video editing (rendering speeds etc)?
