It seems to need mentioning on every deal but the adaptor isnt Bluetooth - its Xbox wireless so it has performance and functionality benefits over even BT 5. Bluetooth is great for casual use or phone or tablet but the adaptor is a wise investment for PC use. It works with any xbox one or series controller - but not original x360 controllers. With current controller f/w just double press the connect button to switch between a BT and adaptor connection. (edited)

Thanks for the post.

I thought the Series X controllers have Bluetooth so wouldn't need the wireless adapter?

I'm assuming the wireless adapter works with an original Xbox One Controller?

The adapter uses microsoft's own connection technology rsther than bluetooth, it's more stable and has less input delay than bluetooth. But you're right yeah most controllers can just use bluetooth if you don't care, I think the early xbox one controllers didn't have bluetooth only the later version ones if I recall correctly

Good price for both items (just the wireless adapter on its own is £15-£20 on eBay), but the previous Xbox1 controller had a better build in my opinion. Voted hot! (edited)

Worth knowing that this adapter cannot wake a PC up like the first gen Xbox One wireless adapter. Makes it a bit more annoying to use on a living room PC.

Great controller, not sure about reliable as I baby mines and the RB button has stopped working a couple of years in. Going to source replacement part and fix myself but not impressed sadly.
