    This better than Samsung a52s?

SoC in the samsung is faster, battery about the same, screen virtually the same except smasung is 120hz vs 90hz on this. Battery charging speed seems to be quite a bit better on the x5 also a new bluetooth version of 5.2 vs 5

But they're not miles off in terms of differences (edited)

How does this compare to the new Poco F5, which is around the same price as a new Oppo X5 lite?
    Davidmrb93's avatar
Hard to say as the SoC is quite different, the poco is likely faster in raw performance but they have similar specs across the board. Screen is the same resolution but the x5 lite will seem slightly clearer as it's a smaller screen (higher ppi) but it likely wouldn't even be noticeable. Charing speed is about the same but x5 has a smaller battery so it'll charge faster. Poco has an infrared sensor which I like even on mine, can replace remotes around your house without using WiFi faff. Both will get android 14 poco will likely get 15 too eventually as my F3 got 13. The poco has a 120hz panel though vs 90hz so it'd be smoother, also brighter with smaller bezels. At the same price the poco is probably the best one but it's not miles off for the x5

Had a look at the Soc comparison and it looks like the one in the F5 is the clear winner, better in every aspect including battery life, and the poco has a bigger battery too. So unless OS is a problem it's a clear winner on those fronts (edited)

I know it's a revival of an old post but would appreciate your advice.
I've got a budget of about £200 and was considering this phone, the Oppo A94 5G, a Xperia 1 II, or a Honor 50.
The Honor 50 and A94 I've seen are both "opened like new" and the Xperia is grade B. All my previous phones have been new so part of my concern would be battery life on a used phone. I'm coming from a 5 year old Honor 9 I got for the price of this deal from John Lewis, so I'm a bit spoilt.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Given the choice, I'd probably go for the X5 lite out of all 4.
Newer being the key, especially if you keep your phones for a while

Got this for my fiance a week ago, my opinion on it is it's a nifty phone with decent specs and for the price I don't think there is anything that really matches it in terms of total package. Has Android 13, 8gb ram, 90hz screen, battery is crazy good and can be charged to 100% from 0 in around 45 mins. Snaps decent enough pictures and has 5G. All in all a good phone!

Very good price, for a nicely specced phone!
Oppo phones are great, and in my humble opinion, there quality is comparable to any of the other big companies like Samsung, Google, etc...
The phone should also receive an update to Android 14 later this year.
Just be aware GiffGaff doesn't usually provide the fast charger with their phones. (edited)

Also be aware the software is crap

Just to check, you'll need to buy a 65W charger to utilise the fast charge on this right? (edited)

I'd guess at yes, not sure if giffgaff ebay ship boxes / chargers, the X3 neo I ordered cane phone only.
