    It's just profiteering, companies raise prices under the media storm of everything is going up due to X, Y & Z. We are then daft enough to buy at the higher prices and wonder why we are less well off

    Would love to see the numbers on app uninstalls after this promotion ends. My guess is 99% of people uninstall in frustration because the app crashed and they couldn't get the deal, and the other 1% that got the promotion uninstall any way because they won't use it.

    Doing that right now. Total rubbish making me install their app thinking that's the best/only way to get offer. There's me going via crashing app whilst everyone getting via website.

    Just to clarify for a few people:
    Nowhere it said it's app only, you only needed the app to get the code, which was posted here anyway.
    It's not a scam because you didn't get it in time, 4000 codes Country-Wide, not just HUKD, of course it's all used up in 2 minutes.
    Yes the app crashed, as expected, this is why you preload your basket on the website at the same time, it's minimum effort for a free product, but i guess complaining is just easier.

    for anyone saying it's a scam, they sold well over 4k lol. Their servers aren't capable of handling a hard '4000' limit.
    I quickly switched to desktop and managed to order. The code was only announced on the app hence the "app required".

    Had item in basket, I was logged in, had code ready. The second it hit 10 I pasted the code in and guess what, it signed me out! Then i tried to sign back in, says username or password not recognised(used faceID). Then eventually when I was back in, nothing in basket. It’s 10.01 now, I’ve selected the item. Tried to add to basket, guess what - apparently my WiFi has gone, tried again, I have 3 items in my basket now but can’t go to checkout page. It’s 10.02, app crashes!

    If they can’t have the servers ready to handle this many users, they shouldn’t be having these offers. Sure, it’s fastest fingers first but there is no excuse for the app to log me out, say I have no internet connection when I do, not allow me to check out, remove the items, suddenly have 3 items! SHAMBLES! (edited)

    Oh it's the 18th. I set my Alarm to be ready. I make rice pudding with asda sticky rice only 97 kcals per 100 grams. Then 500 ml of almond or coconut sugar free milk. Then I add protein powder.

    Everyone complaining about this being a scam... I'd say the app was just overloaded with thousands trying to get this. Looks like a good few people here managed and I doubt they're all myprotein employees...

    This is a marketing ploy, they do not have 4000 codes available, possibly 40 and given to high spenders only (or people affiliated to MyProtein).

    It's not really magic, it goes slow when everyone's railing the server trying to use the code and then the load drops when people stop trying after the code expires...

    Probably because we were able to order although I do agree the app crashing isn't really fair but is expected to happen when companies run promotions like these. It's just the luck of the draw
