Pencil legs would be an apt insult currently. I train "a bit". ;)

I stand corrected and apologise, I must of nodded off by that point. Understanble I'm sure you will agree. As for a troll, let me guess another pencil neck who trains a bit *facepalm*

You're the gift that keeps on giving.. omendata 22nd Apr; "Price of whey and supplements now is mental and none of it works unless you are a pro doing 5-7 days a week, split system, isometrics and a dab of Anabol etc" I am starting to suspect a few trolls in here though. Bravo, good sir! :{

You can't like them that much because not in this whole thread does it say they don't work unless you take steroids or train 24/7. Clearly you don't read them properly.

It hasn't been called 'prat powder' yet, so it's not a legit protein thread at this point.

The original and still best Diet Whey Perfect macros, only 91 calories per serving and less than 2g of sugar Available in a variety of great flavours to suit all tastes

Ok, i'm going to do a full post now since i have some free time today. A protein powder is just that, protein only, it's not a whole food, it's not supposed to have fat and carbs. The lower quality ones are concentrate, dirt cheap, they are a by-product that 20+ years ago was thrown away. Good quality ones are isolates, you can tell by protein content, anything under 90% protein is low quality. 90% and 95% isolates are pretty good. 97% and 100% are the best, they have less than 1% fat and carbs. Keep in mind this is a supplement and not regulated by the FDA, as such, even if the label says it has protein in it it could just be something else. You can also tell by carb content, highest quality protein powders have 0g of carbs. This is a particular crappy "protein" powder, especially for keto, it has added flower and sugar, see ingredient list. A good quality protein isolate has only protein as an ingredient ( and soy letcithin as emulsifier ). and it is expensive. BTW you are on keto OR on low carb and you do not need a protein powder, focus on whole foods, they keep you full, longer, making weight loss easier. I have been on keto for 11 months now and have lost almost 50% of my body weight without any protein powder.

How about you look at the ingredient list first. Where do you think the 12g of sugar it has come from ?

That protein powder does not have added flour or sugar

It's a protein powder not a fat powder. It's not food, it's not supposed to have other macroes. You are on a ketogenic diet and you consume stuff with added flour and sugar ?

Hmm, weird. Low fat is not a good indicator of quality protein if you're on a low carb ketogenic diet. You goals seem different to mine.

Surely that's ridiculously expensive, seeing as it equates to £60 for 5kg of 68% protein (made up of whey concentrate, casein, and soy isolate). You can buy 5kg of whey isolate (90% protein) at the same price or less per kg, which also has almost identical number of calories.

Not reduced in Elgin Asda unfortunately. On sale in Holland and Barrett just now for £13.99 though

My local had these for £5 for strawberry, £5 chocolate and £6 for vanilla cream a month back. Ended up buying the lot (about 6 bags). Vanilla cream was weird, like cold custard.

phd nutrition diet whey protein powder, 1 kg, salted caramel https//www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0716VY586/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_x5.zCbSJNSG7S Seems to be £13.50-14 off Amazon with prime.

I saw these in my local Asda £5-7 based on flavours. Strawberry, chocolate and vanilla creme. Ended up buying them all, around 7 bags. Strawberry one is fairly nice vanilla isn't as great. Tastes like cold custard. Not tried the chocolate. H&B are hit and miss with their prices. Sometimes they match Amazon on a good day, and other days their 3 times the cost. Only time their good is with points. As they tend to rack up quickly.

Except for the very rare good value deals , if you are shopping at H&B you have more money than sense

H&B half price means real price

Thanks ordered 2 X 2kg for £30. Original price on their website was about 4 grand. I always read the label in another language to create muscle confusion. I don't even want to know what training amplifiers are supposed to be

Ordered Chocolate and Vanilla. Was going to order ripped core as well but that had may last date. I hope these ones last me a summer as I work only weekends.

Hahaha, Depends on your goal, this definitely would be a good choice as a post workout shake. I certainly wouldn't be knocking back more than one of these a day. For me real food is always the best way to make gains.

When you’re being pretty strict, for some people like myself, two/three portions of this a day can throw you way over the limit. I’d rather save it for that Reese’s Cupcake which has been tormenting me all week. Oh yeah. Shout out to all Type 2 Diabetics as well.

4g of sugar per serving....hardly a deal breaker for me. Seems decent enough for the low price HEAT

You sound very foolish trying to justify your stupid post and now with lies. You never mentioned serving size or ratios? yes you did you liar, read what you wrote. You clearly wrote the servings on both products. You sound very clueless when it comes to nutrition. You've spoke to people and they all say they feel better after a huel than a ON shake. LMAO what on earth are you talking about? They can feel protein? Unless you have a lactose intolerance you cant "feel" whey which is what ON is just a whey product. As for me trying Huel I've had it many many times I was one of the first testers of the product but unlike you I don't feel the need to promote it in a protein shake thread. Huel is NOT a protein shake its a meal replacement better suited to dieting not for the gym. Go and learn a bit more. You look a bit silly keep trying to justify yourself with your constant replies you should've just left it but carry on.

I actually never mentioned ratio wise or serving wise.. but quite obviously, I meant serving wise it has 30g vs 20 roughly from optimum Nutrition. I also mentioned that to get this 30 you have to eat ingest carbs and fats and I made this clear. I actually use optimum Nutrition creatine, zma capsules pre workout, and train & sustain BCAA powder! I know exactly what I'm saying maybe I didn't communicate it in the best way I'm sorry for this. Have a great day everyone. Ohh ps.. not a silly advert for huel. Just that I've tried both many times and a lot of people I have spoken to about this.. & they all agree with me that you feel so so much better after a huel than after a whey protein shake. Maybe try one? I was only trying to help.

ok il try that book, looks interesting, ive been looking into carbs recently, tried cutting out, increasing fat with avacados aplenty, then watched gravity transformation (some youtube guy helping / encouraging people to loose weight) he said increase carbs, do better in the gym, thus burn more calories in gym, and standing still resting daily doing nothing, because more muscle = metabolism increase. makes perfect sense i also like what you said about bread. hardly fit for human consumption - hehe , made me laugh, I have thought the same for quite a while.! still have the odd sandwhich but try my honest best just to eat real food.

I do nuts as well Love Almond butter, brazilian, walnuts, hazelnuts when i do loading I use almond butter on my omlet with cup of coconut shrims. But that bit about cholesterol, these recommendations date 70`s - total myth my friend. Its same people who first banned aspartame from human consumption in 1974 then allowed it so coke can have their cheap sugar alternative. Cholesterol is a good thing, people who have little bit higher cholesterol lives longer its been clinical proven! Your liver regulates and produces naturally your cholesterol so its NOT coming directly from food to your blood. Recommend reading Phinney, Volek - 'The Art and Science of Low Carb Living and Performance' these guys breaks a lot of myths.

yeh ive got the total recall, read it a while ago, and the encyclopedia.! it was said in an interview on youtube i saw a few years back, that all the eggs didn't help. if you eat two eggs, you are 17% over daily recommended cholesterol intake, as one has over 55percent recommended allowance. so eating 12 a day maybe didn't help my point i suppose is adding whey to a diet already high in meat cheese or animal product is not advisable; and that adding it from a vegan protein wont hurt. I have porridge with nuts and honey or maple syrup when i can afford it, for brecky, 3 meat meals and a vegan protein shake about 10pm, so 2 of 5 are vegan, 3 of 5 are meat. if i had all 5 meals containing meat im sure i wouldn't feel as good it puts more strain on digestive system, cholesterol or not... I get my nuts from https://www.gorillafoodco.co.uk/ they do seeds as well, they have a pack for about 80quuid bulk savings, on nuts, and about 20 on seeds. 100quid for heaps of protein not to mention vital minerals. I thoroughly recommend trying. i cant stress that enough, please eat more nuts everyone!!!!! have a great day (ps; get some nuts, and seeds, add to porridge or salads, or eat small handfulls with an apple or dark chocolate as a snack)
