The water bottle grows black mould for some reason after a while. I have numerous gallon/half gallon bottles from MyProtien, PHD, BSN etc and MyProtien bottles are the only one that this seems to happen with. Doesn't help that they are black tinted which makes it hard to notice, it wasn't to someone else pointed out that these were prone to mould that I checked my own and found it.

I have the oat and whey bars all the time. I agree they are probably not the softest most delicious bars but if you don't care and are just eating for macros then these are very decent! Heat from me!

Decent price for what it is, but I advise reading the recent reviews on these bars before buying.

fasted cardio for sure, if you have just started weight training, no harm in a protein shake after training, after all, lean muscle gain helps fat loss, ....... also increases weight so stay focussed on fat loss not weight loss

ALDI is a good bet for cheap almond milk

Good deal, but be warned they use Yodel for deliveries, so you are likely to have problems actually getting it (that's the one and only reason I stopped buying from them)

Just had a look and that promotion was for yesterday only; I thought it might have gone on all weekend. Now been changed to a free steel shaker with >£40 spend. I'll expire the deal.

My basket comes to £50.23 but I can't see anything in relation to the free 1kg choc IWP. Any help appreciated!

Also for anyone who's first order this will be with protein works, use my referral code and it gives you 30% discount instead of the 25% in this thread, i think when you checkout you have to create an account and the referral code box is on the bottom. It's- CHLOE-R5LO

I got chocolate mint when that was posted but think it was a miss price on Amazon. (highfive)

I can't believe an industry so lucrative isn't highly regulated. How is that actually legal?!

Me too, but with the shaker , whey and another 20% back through Topcashback it's worth a go.

It's the best value whey has been in ages. People like to vote those "Optimum Nutrition" deals super hot even though the whey quality as measured by Labdoor is inferior. This is astonishing value for money!

This also works on the My Bar Zero protein bars making them a little over £1 each, you don't get the free Brownie, but free delivery over £50 or 4x boxes of bars! Thanks OP

My advice would be to go for the maximuscle promax lean bars currently on Amazon for £13.99. They come in 4 flavours. Mint, peanut butter, salted caramel & cookies & cream. They contain 20g of protein, approx 183 calories, 3.2g saturated fat & 1g sugar. I’ve tried loads of protein bars including Carb killa & these are by far the best I’ve ever tasted. Buy some you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks, I'll give them ago on your recommendation (y)

Ordered but no student discount so £14.21. Usually horrible but worth a try for at work

The Chocolate Caramel flavour is one of my favourite protein bars. Love having them with a cup of coffee. The taste can be subjective, but I can tell you that it is not tough to chew at all.

Any body know if these are pleasant to eat or more of a chore to get down?

Isolate is always going to be superior, but at a cost. I'll always buy isolate unless there's a great deal on impact, which I've never had a problem with, and is still one of the highest quality powders on the market.

Ive tried impact whey a few times. Dont rate it to be honest! doesnt digest great at all. The isolate stuff is far superior in every way. Been with myprotein for pushing 10 years now. But use what benefits you the most.

This might be the case but I can't get on with it either. Sadly this is the only protein I can stomach without gut issues!

I use protein shakes for convenience. Prefer proper food. I once upon a time used Optimum but it's over priced. Now use Myprotein usually around £8 a kilo. Haven't seen any difference in results but costs less

Even with this 'offer' their price of £47.99 for 2.2kg makes this extortionate.

Thanks guys, I'll get in touch with them. This deal was on in Jan and I ordered 2 tubs. My first tub was fine but the second one seemed as if it had been tampered with.

Even with the half price it's still only an average deal. £32 is my max for these tubs. Probably due an offer on amazon.its been a while.

What? You have shattered all my hopes I thought you have a protein shake and end up shredded with superhuman muscles. I'm joking of course. What you said is spot on. I use protein shakes after a work out as I usually head to work afterwards. If I'm not working I'll eat a proper meal.

each to their own

I hate GoNutrition, I’ve had crap tasting products and the customer service is an utter joke. If you want to get quality products and good customer service I’d recommend The Protein Works, there’s always deals on there website! (y) and no im not a sales rep for The Protein Works before anyone asks! (lol)

i'll check them out and might just try the smooth chocolate, is vanilla any good? Thanks again for the pointers

Cool, yep as I said myprotein is a good place to start. They always have a confusing amount of offers going on, but I'd recommend their impact whey (bog standard protein). Can get unflavoured if you mix with other stuff, or smooth chocolate is not bad. Avoid weird flavours like the plague. With any protein look at the price per kg. sub-£10 per kg is what you want as a general rule, ideally much cheaper with offers Etc.

Whey, hey man! Nice one!

Nice! Yeah it’s a regular morning thing. I work at Game in head office, so anything to get me through the day! Haha

From Argos website Ingredients Whey Protein [Concentrate & Isolate (from Milk)] , Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder (8%) , Flavourings , Emulsifier (Soya Lecithin) , Salt , Thickener (Xanthan Gum) , Sweetener (Sucralose) .

I cant see the full ingredients but it says protein from whey isolate on the front label, it must be blended with a lot of other stuff as 69g of protein from 100g of net powder seems very low.

Weird, it scanned full price at Asda Robroyston. I assumed a roll back would be national.
