I’ve had the same one for about 4 years! Still going strong. Worth the money.

Bought one of these in December for £10 when they wanted to get rid of old stock, put it together Saturday and it does the job and cleans up well.

Looks alright for the money, if you get a summer out of it I think it's a decent price.

The one I bought from Argos is identical and it's been outside in cold and wind under a cover for 3 years and it's still in good shape. I'm only looking to replace it now because I forgot to clean it before last winter and the grill went all mucky. I still think I can get away with replacing the grill only for £15.

I couldn’t see click and collect as an option when I went to order this morning, so went to a local store who were selling it for £55. The staff checked it and it scans at £37.50, they just hadn’t been told so hadn’t updated the store price.

It looks ok for £37.50, decent size and the lid looks like it will keep a lot of heat in, and it will keep me going while I decide what to replace my dead gas bbq with.

I bought one of these and assembled it and tried it out yesterday. It does the job but the quality isn't great.

I built one yesterday, but couldn't get the main grill to sit flat, cause of the wingnuts on the inside of the front latch. Seemed like a design fault to me. Did you find this, or am I doing something wrong? Decided to remove the latch to allow it to sit nicely.

Just ordered, also if you sign up for the new letter it's about 10% off and then 5.25% cashback through Quidco so not bad. Even if it lasts a few years I be happy.

You can get it cheaper. As per the above comment, sign for the newsletter and you'll get a code for 10% off. Also, check the recent Wilko deals, you'll find various codes in the comments.

Thanks ordered as delivery with 10% off code. Nearest Wilko is a decent 6miles away so not worth the money to drive and collect.

    Thanks

Does anyone know if this would take the weight of a potjie? (Cast iron cooking pot, like a Dutch Oven)

Looks very similar to the Argos one I have. If this weekend is anything to go by it needs far more charcoal in it than one of those pre-bagged bags will provide. The packet said one bag (= £2.50) should be enough for most barbecues so I got the contents of one of those roasting hot in a chimney starter and poured it in - it certainly didn't produce enough heat to use it as a grill and barely browned the bottom of the meat we had on there for 20 minutes with the lid down. Gave up and cooked everything in the oven.

I'll fill the chimney starter to the brim with loose charcoal next time around and if that's still not enough we'll be getting rid of it.

I also have the one from Argos and saw this in the local Wilko yesterday. They are identical. It's probably made by the same manufacturer and licensed for different retailers. (edited)

Has anyone tried to replace the round chrome grill on these? There don't seem to be any spares specifically for this, but I wonder if anyone tried some other brands.

I realised last week that I left it dirty before the winter and it's beyond saving now. It would be a shame to have to replace the entire BBQ as the rest of it is in great shape despite being kept outside for 3 winters now.

Proceed with caution, got a £50 from homebase last year and it was totally wrecked after sitting udner a cover for less than a year.

Oh yeah, I never leave any BBQ out under a cover - straight in the shed when not in use. No issues then

Bowl looks identical to the one that came on the Aldi kettle & cart posted the other week
