I wonder if this drive is legit or there are some dodgy shenanigans? I'm not sure if I'd want to gamble ordering storage from AliExpress considering the number of fakes. With Amazon and other big UK sellers you can always send it back if it turns out a scam, thus, if you do go AliExpress use Paypal at least you might have some protectiom then.

    Good price however. (edited)

I've tried a warranty claim 3 months in with AliExpress and it's non existent. AliExpress told me after 30 days it's the seller's responsibility and the seller just ignored me...

I'm a bit out of the loop with drives....Do these have the same sata connection as regular externals? It looks like ram.

No, its an internal drive, connects to the m.2 slot or pci-e (depending on the drive) on the motherboard rather than a sata cable. Sata ssds usually look like an external harddrive/box. M.2 nvme ssd look similar to ram (edited)

It adds VAT on for me

Since 2021 Aliexpress has been required by HMRC to collect VAT on all order that are £135 or less. That's why it's added at checkout.

Any more than that and you have to deal with HMRC yourself.

Well. A lot of people here have had good experience with both the seller and the drive. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's dodgy. Pay via PayPal to cover yourself

I’ve got an SN850 1TB in the PS5. Wonder if it’s worth upgrading to this 2TB temporarily until the end of the year when the SN850X 4TB is £200..
  11. Jean54's avatar
Thanks OP, make sure it’s a real 2 TB when you buy it
  12. PedroVPSN's avatar
Can I use it on PS5?
    FormerFatBoyinTheGym's avatar
Not recommended as it's just under minimum specs for the PS5, but it does work, although slower than the PS5 internal SSD.

Not a chance this is legit.

Are there lots of fakes of these? If so it seems like this should be vetted first

Ok so the seller is a legit seller, and reviews all seem legit, and also there are some people here who have bought stuff from the same seller.
