As I'm currently on a mobiles.co.uk Vodafone contract ending next month, I assume I can upgrade to this?

Had anyone done this yet? Is it just a case of signing up at mobiles and linking to existing Vodafone number/account?

I'm half way through a 24 month Vodafone broadband contract so keen to stay with them for mobile too for the two together benefits and monthly discount.

Yeah you should be able to upgrade to this. Sign up, provide your details and that's it.
You will receive a sim in the post but you can ignore it.... I still don't get why they do this for upgrades!

It's usually only £5 from TCB in my experience, from the last 3 years anyway...

    Heated OP, happy to recommend!

Its actully £20 for this particular deal - but I choose to put as £10 just to be on safer side.

There is another option which has £96 cashback by redemption that is not for upgrades.

Can you put this in a mobile hotspot?

I would imagine you could. (edited)

Is there any sim only thread specific to 1 month and other forms of rolling contracts? Everything within >6 month offers basically. In 1 month I'll cancel my 24 month ee and don't want any long commitment. Will fluctuate across those rolling deals.

My £10 TCB from this deal, posted slightly earlier in the year, has now paid out

    Initally tracked at £5.

Thinking of joining Vodafone because my sky mobile coverage is terrible, is the coverage good and is the veryme any good?
    leondas's avatar
Try it out before you make a contract. 14 days cooling period applies when you buy a new product/service. Overall Vodafones coverage is the second best in UK, speedwise I think they are no. 1 , the best coverage is provided by EE, but speedwise just second in line.
Veryme is a great app with good freebies or promotions but mostly they offer "lottery" so you could WIN tickets or products, holidays etc. They always give you Vue cinema tickets, 2 for 7 quid and many times Costa free regular coffee too. Meal deal (in stores) could also be available for free but it is rare.

If you do not use a y of these perks just go for a Lebara SIM which has 30 days contracts, great plans and Free EU roaming. Uses Vodafone network too but obviously there is no Veryme with them. But no contract and a lot cheaper check out this site.

Alzo if you are ahead to swap your provider than download or read your previous 6-12 months bills. Check out your data usage which is on them and you can see how much data you truly use per month and buy a plan which is the perfect fit for you otherwise you waste your money on unused pricey GB-s. Just an advice. 100 GB is a lot and almost noone uses them up. (edited)

Just make sure that you're not on a rolling contract that includes, for example, roaming. Most packages now do not include and are £2 a day to most EU destinations (including France and Spain) or a fixed rate per stay.

I've got 4 mobile contracts in my house and two of them are old roaming inclusive. It's not way worth me upgrading them yet.
    kzee's avatar
Trying to figure out if this SIM includes 83 destinations or not. Vodafone site mentions £6.85 charge / day for Turkey.

"If you bought your phone on or after 11 August 2021
And you have a data plan with 83 inclusive destinations then roaming is included (up to 25GB). If not, you'll be charged £6.85 a day on top of your existing plan for calls, texts and up to 25GB of data.
    "

Currently on the 200gb for £7 deal with these, god it takes ages for the cheques to turn up.
2 turned up yesterday and I’d forgotten what the hell they were for
    Why can’t bacs be done
    LankyChris's avatar
I assume it's in their interest to use cheques as probably there's a number of them that never get paid in from people forgetting, losing them etc

Even after offsetting their costs of printing and posting them out.

If they used BACS they'd be guaranteed to paying the full cashback amount for everyone.

Been taking this deal out for years (albeit with changes to price, think this year it's cheaper!), great value.

If you like not receiving calls and just getting text messages that say you missed a call then Vodafone is the ideal network for you.
    bozo007's avatar
Every network's signal quality is location dependent.

    Do you have to upgrade
    williemaykit's avatar
No can you sign up as a new customer for a similar deal. From memory, the new customer deal works out to be £8 after cash back

There is but you get £40 back. Works out to £12.67 per month

I have pretty much the same situation probably same deal, my price increases about £8 next month and was going to port out until I got a cheap deal.

So I just log into Quidco/TCB then upgrade on Voda and thats it ok?

You login to Quidco / TCB
    then search mobiles.co.uk sim only
then follow the link from there to earn cashback

this is an upgrade via mobiles.co.uk and not Vodafone directly.

    Is this auto cashback
    bozo007's avatar
No. The process is quite simple - set up reminders, blindly follow the instructions that are there in the order confirmation email and you will get a paper cheque in 6 weeks. Fortunately, my bank (Halifax) allows deposits by scanning from the app.

I'm with Vodafone but just come out of contract and gone up quite a bit. Vodafone told me you can't retain your number with these upgrades. I presume that was rubbish?. With these upgrades are mobiles.co.uk just a reseller and contract is with Vodafone. So same as if you'd bought from Vodafone. Or is contract with mobiles.co.uk and you have to contact them for support etc.

I was going to switch to voxi but tempted by these
    TrackDeals's avatar
Actually I went for this and then their system won't allow me to move my number.
Eventually had to cancel it. Apparently carphonewarehouse (Mobiles parent) upgrades do not work with Vodafone contract.

SMARTY has a 1 month SIM deal 100GB for £12. And if you go through Topcashback you get £12 cashback. EU roaming included.

Smarty and ID on Three network which is crap for many people due to black spots of signal strength. Probably the worst company according to network coverage but the close second is O2. Vodafone and EE are much better IMO!

Mobiles.co.uk is a 3rd party who helps Vodafone selling plans. After you make a contract you are a customer of Vodafone. You can directly do your business with Voda. The only thing you have to do via mobiles.co.uk is claiming your redemptions in time thru their website. Thats it.

    No EU Roaming...

am i paying £42 then claiming the money back idk =/ ?

Does this offer provide the fastest speed available? Some Vodafone plans offer speeds of no more than 2Mbps or 10Mbps.
    LOKKO's avatar
Yeah I would like to know this too

Easiest way of getting support from these guys? I should have had my first cheque of this contract from them by now but it's nearly two weeeks past their own, website, estimation.

This'll be the first time in about 4/5 years that I've had the need to use Support - so not bad I guess
