    There are other interesting offers, flr example that one is absolutely ridiculous, Sapphire with AR coating and great quartz Seiko VH31 with 4 ticks per second for around 30$.

    Has to still be the ultimate value for money watch. Bought the black one a while ago and it's insane value for money. £60 for great finishing and Sapphire crystal.....100% reccommended.

    There is also an option of the SD1970T which I have that has a PT5000 4Hzt movement (smoother sweeping hand) for not much more (See: aliexpress.com/ite…khD)

    This works out at £80.42 (for me).

    I've got a Submariner "homage" from Cronos with a PT5000 movement and it keeps superb time +5 secs a day. Which for a cheap automatic watch is amazing. I highly recommend the PT5000, way more accurate than the Seiko NH35 which is basically the ancient 7S26 with hacking and handwinding. The PT5000 is an ETA 2824 clone, much like the Sellita SW200-1 movements (as used by Christopher Ward and others) are ETA 2824 clones.

    What would you say about the bezel? I've got some Cadisen watches, overall excellent value for money but the bezel is always a bit lose and has got some backplay.

    Great price, the going rate for these was £100 a couple of years ago. £55 just about got you an NH35 movement during the covid shortage period.

    You've got other offers on Ali in quartz and bronze, but I don't think that model was ever offered in Quartz.

    I'd prefer the SD1970 if there were more interesting colourways / dials but that's just me.

    Not sure if this is a good 'un but I do have a soft spot for power reserve automatics
