If you are in the market for a new gpu at the lower end just wait for a week or two after the RTX 4060 non TI has been on the shelfs you will save money.

I think the 4060 will start from £289

    On Nvidia site as £289.
Tried to post the link but the domain is banned on here!
    Quoted as 299 Euros here

people are saying “wait for the 4060!” but i’ll just put a small reminder out here that, if you’re emulating modern consoles, last gen is actually looking better. in a recent blog post yuzu devs noticed that the 3060Ti vastly outperformed the 4060Ti.

Maybe you shouldn't be trusting a blog that no one's heard of and who apparently can't install a graphics card properly.

A couple of the reviews you've posted screenshots of seem to be for the 3090?

You can get a brand new 6650 XT for less money and comes with RE4 -
    overclockers.co.uk/sap…tml

Even with less VRAM it's a better performer.
Both 1080p cards anyway, so not as if there's many games that will max out the VRAM (and for those that do lowering a couple of settings with minimal impact to image quality fixes that).

The 3060 is barely any better than the RX 6600 which can be had for under £177. (edited)

It might be a better performer for games, but from what I've read it's rubbish at many things non-games like photo and video editing, rendering etc. So if you are going to use it for something other than games, worthwhile doing a careful comparison to avoid potential disappointment.

Still needs to be closer to the 6600 xt at around £200

Buying a brand new 3060 makes zero sense, 1080Ti or 2070 Super will leave this card in the dust for a lot less money i.e. ~170 for either, I got my 1080Ti for £160). If you desperately need brand new then I suppose go for it otherwise I would strongly suggest looking at the second hand market.
    fatabelly's avatar
Both are definitely better…but where have you seen a new 1080ti for £170?
  10. razo's avatar
Meh. I just got a used Radeon 6800 for this price in perfect condition. I suppose if you must have new, and you must have Geforce, it's alright, but I wouldn't do it.

I saw the RTX4060 is coming out with 20% more performance at the same RRP of £260. I’d wait!
    ukflyboy's avatar
329 euros RRP on release according to Nividia, so doubt we'll get I anywhere close to £260.
  12. ukflyboy's avatar
Cheaper than CEX are selling them for.

    The asus model is £220

sounds like a good price. I recently got a 2nd hand 6600XT for it's low power consumption as i was limited to my 300W PSU. The product description for this says 50W - true?
    loverboy21's avatar
no. around 150 to 170 watts.

is it worth upgrading from a 2060 super? (edited)
    Danze1984's avatar
Also what I'm wondering. Think I'll wait until the 6700XT hits £300 though as I'm sure it's a much bigger jump.

Would I see any benefit with a i5-4440 CPU? Currently running a 960 GTX 4GB.
    simonts's avatar
CPU would probably be bottlenecking you

    This or the 4070?
    ukflyboy's avatar
Very different propositions - the 4070 is more than twice the price of this!

    Oh no you won't.
1650 DDR6 sells for around £70, can't imagine the 1060 getting close to that.
