Sometimes these are just damaged packaging , worth a shot with Amazon as if your not happy, easy returns.

Received a ssd from Amazon couple of days ago....it looked liked someone sat on it, was squashed to an inch of its life the envelope type packaging they sent it in really wasn't suitable.

Yes I did instigate a swap-out return. (edited)

One thing you should never buy used no matter how good the price is an SSD, they can get damaged so easily and you would never know until you've properly used it (edited)

    you can always return it

Can I use this with an enclosure for a PS4?
    Alex_H's avatar
Yep you can but it's a little overkill for that.

I don't see the point in this where you can get two terabytes for £113 new (edited)

1tb with the heatsink at £52 is a very good deal on a high performing SSD with DRAM

Muy caliente, gracias! Finally bitten on this SSD. Let’s hope it’s not been returned after being abused… (edited)

    Thanks seal

Was thinking about picking up a 1T wd black has a boot drive.
I think they could be WD refurbish drives they seem to have a lot them and they can not all be returns.

Can this used in a laptop?
    Allan_'s avatar
Depends on the laptop. You would need to have a full sized m.2 drive slot that is good for 2280 a sized NVME drive. Some smaller laptops might only fit smaller NVME drives and older laptops might only have a SATA connection.

    Any recommendations on an enclosure?

I feel this should be 5-10 cheaper considering it is used item not brand new.
