I would recommend the newer but slightly more expensive 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth which comes with a charging dock + 2.4GHz dongle. So not only you can use Bluetooth, but 2.4GHz dongle (non Bluetooth) as well. Bear in mind there's two versions, 8bitdo Ultimate (2.4GHz only) and slightly more expensive 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth (2.4GHz and Bluetooth). The 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth also comes with hall effect analog sticks, which means no drift will develop (edited)

How easy/difficult would it be to switch the buttons for a Xbox controller layout instead of Nintendo? To make it X Y A B instead of Y X B A (edited)

Great controller. Fantastic with MAME on a Firestick.

Is the firestick any good for emulators? i'm looking to play old dreamcast and N64 games, was thinking about using my phone and buying one of these controllers but a firestick may be easier.

    No hall sensors, no point

Bought the SNES shape version of this to play retro games with (the version without the handles) and found the D pad very stiff and uncomfortable. Not sure if it's just me? Maybe I'm not just used to it as it's been a few years.

This is such a fantastic controller. I pick it up more often than the Switch Pro controller

Does it support motion control? I had a quick and it looks like it does but wanted to check with someone who has one?

Would this work with the apple TV?

    EDIT.......it does (edited)

    Banging controller

And does it hold up well to all that violence?

This is a great controller. I have the black one. Tempted to get a second at this price.

It's a solid controller, quite recommendable. But it's not the best choice for online FPS games due to its rather stiff and overly springy thumbsticks. Stick to official gamepads if you play those sorts of games. (edited)

Good controller - does it work with Submarines? Asking for a friend...
    ResveZ's avatar
No, you'll want a cold nipple Logitech for that.

Not long ago received the 8bitdo Ultimate Wireless / Bluetooth, I’m using it on the Switch and it’s awesome. So tempted to get this one as well

Using this with mine, originally bought for the steam deck. Personally, I prefer the dual shock layout over the Xbox style, accelerometer works really well too

Use one of these for my Switch. Love it.

    Great controller. Good price.

Can this be used with the original old school nintendo wii?

I got the transparent black version of this and I love it! Use it often and it's great, battery life great too. I have the 8bitdo Bluetooth adapter too and it makes a great pairing.

A great controller, used it on my switch for a few months when my pro controller died and never had a problem with it, I forget if I adjusted the stick deadzones in the app first or not but if you get issues you can usually fix it there.

anyone used this on CoD Mobile?

A heads up, the NES themed PC keyboard 8bitdo looks great. It’s expensive and does not have U.K layout; but some fans may like it. (edited)
  21. yiu's avatar
I've always found the quality of the 8bitdo great. Had the classic SNES Bluetooth versions to get authentic emulation control. Is it worthwhile getting this version if I have multiple PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X controllers which already don't get much use.

Love this controller , absolute bargain for £30

Wasn’t in the market for a controller, but I’ve got some gift cards
    - does anyone have experience of using this with a Retroid pocket, specifically 3 plus?
    - started to get twinges in my fingers but want to carry on playing - would this be a good choice ergonomically?
  24. deleted2810965's avatar
overall a good controller but the placement of those extra rear buttons (P1/P2) is not good as they keep getting pressed accidentally.
I wish they didn’t bother including those.they’re useless anyway.

I only use it for retro SNES and PS1 games.

also the d-pad is just ok,not nearly as good feel as the D-Pad of 8bitdo M30/Retrobit Sega controllers or even the Xbox Series D-Pad. (edited)

Is this product better than easysmx, Zakgbxbig and gamesir T4 pro

All 3 have more reviews than 8bitdo pro
  28. crack_shot's avatar
very good controller. solid for some pc gaming

in the end i prefer the xbox controller and the wii u pro controller to use on PC titles but this does the job nicely
    Ashish_Gargqal's avatar
Does it come with Bluetooth connector/usb to connect with pc
