Is the Ultra 2 about to be released?
  2. debschillen0704's avatar
So could you have this and not bother with an iPhone?
    doppo666's avatar
You can there’s a YouTube video of a guy doing it and it’s fine, of course you will need a iPhone to initially set the watch up first… (edited)

Super HOT!! Awesome price. Better than most places selling these refurb or second hand. No brainer.

Question : which one people prefer JL or Amazon. Pretty similar in terms of customer service. Does 2 years warranty tilt it towards JL? (edited)
    tempt's avatar
I prefer Amazon because they are a honest tax payer and take good care of their employees.

    overpriced
    The_Blue_One's avatar
What a lazy response. Why is it overpriced, have you considered you are not the target market for this product, what is a better alternative? Anything?

This is one of those things you look at and think, would like that, but given it took me a long time to justify buying my Series 5 watch, don't think I'll be picking up an Ultra any time soon at nearly twice the cost. Maybe a standard Apple Watch upgrade once they really change it significantly. Seems to have not evolved much in last 3-4 years.

Yeah I know what you mean. I had a look at the Uktra and really love the design especially with the Alpine strap (the rubber one is really bulky and ugly IMO) but I’ve also get small wrists and it was absolutely massive.

    Ridiculous price for a watch.
    Strvctvred's avatar
You wouldn’t get this if you just wanted a watch tho.

Just get a hk8 pro ultra for £30.. is 95% the same and 640 quid saved
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
A Fiesta is 95% the same as a Ferrari. Doors wheels engine

    Is this a wind up??

    No, it’s a battery (edited)

I’ve been using a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro for a while and it really is top notch for everything I use it for - golf, road cycling, running… and even telling the time! Battery life is amazing. But there is a part of me that covets the Watch Ultra. I think ima gonna wait till the MK2 is released and then reassess :/

With 5 / monthly instalments option this 🔥

    I’m
Not getting that option…is it 0%APR?

HEAT, great device and a great price (even better than the costco deal). ALL versions are this price apart from one (Alpine Loop) might be worth amending the listing to reflect this.

I bought my AW Ultra last week, you’re welcome guys…
  13. DingoDirk's avatar
Ridiculous that in terms of battery life this is the only usable Apple Watch in that it doesn't require daily charging.

It's a great watch but the battery life still isn't fantastic and it's other premium features are overkill for, I'm guessing, most people's needs.
    b13kal's avatar
I don’t have always on display and I don’t have to charge mine (6) everyday. And even then its charged in an hr or so
  14. Richard_Mathews's avatar
So how long will this become obsolete. Not sure 700 quid is a good investment for a watch (yeah i know its a computer).
    deanhunt08's avatar
The next model is out next month
  15. daverobinson5243's avatar
Couldn’t resist, especially with the 5 monthly payments…so ordered!
  16. stingersplash's avatar
670 quid for a watch though...then again people paying a grand plus for a phone boggles my mind lol.
    deleted2831871's avatar
I guess your an Android man?
  17. Just-Blondie's avatar
Still on my Apple Watch 5 and it’s still going strong I don’t know how to pay for things at the till if I forget to put it on
  18. Tas_'s avatar
Not seen it at this price... Worth it! Heat!! (edited)
  19. Mrepg's avatar
Does this work with 3rd party devices like cadence and speed sensors?
    Craig_ward's avatar
Watch OS 10 is going to bring those features
  20. SteveW's avatar
Same price John Lewis with 2 year guarantee

I bought one for £450 not long ago
    tompow's avatar
I hope one day people snob expensive apple products. Cheap labour in china and rip off prices in the west. Morally wrong.
  22. medicgaming123's avatar
Remember buying the alpine loop version from the Amazon warehouse during the 20% off event. Paid about £400 in the end. And it wasn’t long after I bought the series 7 41mm red from John Lewis (a gap of 3-4 months in fact). But it was an enormous upgrade in terms of battery life. I keep my watch on during the night, and it was a right faff having to charge the watch (not even off-hours for me) during the day.
However, unless battery life is your biggest concern, or you like recreational diving, then it’s really not an upgrade. For this price it represents great value for what it’s worth. I don’t think I intend on upgrading until the Watch is no longer supported!

Great price. I bought mine from the Costco deal a while back for £699. Use it everyday in the gym, swimming, for multi-day hikes & different expeditions & it's worked flawlessly. Battery life is amazing. I'd recommend turning the 'Always on' feature off as it's pointless imo & the battery lasts a lot longer with it off.
  24. TonDog's avatar
This is what the Apple Watch should be IMO, looks great, functions great, battery life is good, durability spot on, because it’s a flat screen if you put a thin screen protector on it you literally can’t tell there’s one on unless you look close.

My battery lasts about a week, but for personal reasons my use is low beyond the functionality of it being a smart watch, and I turn it off when I’m in bed.
  25. maxyone1's avatar
Should I sell my Apple Watch 8, 45mm and get this?
    rodman's avatar
Keep your 8 and we buy Ultra.
  26. mustafakemal's avatar
I own watch 8 and hate the battery on it. Hardly lasts 7-8 hours. Been on hikes etc and watch has died on me most of the time.

Apple Watch X might be the next upgrade worth having although unlikely it will be released this year. Until then ultra v1 is best option specially at this price.
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
Fenix 6/7 will be perfect for you
  27. _taurus_'s avatar
I will keep my AW 6 as has enough functions for me...

Anyone savvy reckon this will drop lower when the 2 drops in sept?
    deleted2831871's avatar
Anyone savvy will have sold their existing stock by then so you make your choice.....and take your chance... It might drop more but they may all be gone..... (edited)

    But no, thank you..... (edited)
  30. Winklexx's avatar
I went from a Series 7 to the ultra, pleased I did. The battery life alone is worth the extra.
