I saw this earlier but some of the reviews on trustpilot made me change my mind. Apart from the review about the metal saw and next day delivery.

I agree - but 20% cheaper than Amazon convinced me to take the plunge. Will see if that pays off.

Just want to highlight it arrived at 9am - and in perfect boxed condition. So I cannot fault Anglia Tool Company.

Any deals on the batteries? I have all makita tools, but just for DIY so I only have one 5ah battery.

Good mower, I went from 2x 3a to 2x 6A batteries and it makes a huge difference.

To how long it lasts, or the amount of ooomph it has at cutting?

I use 2x3ah batteries and only just manage to cut from and back (so long as I cut it every two weeks).

Been on the lookout for a good deal on these ever since I missed the makita offers of last year. Thank you. Ordered.

Hi, just to give a bit feedback, I ordered it on Wednesday 1pm and was delivered by 3pm the next day, brand new.
I’m using 2 x 3ah batteries from my drill, which worked great, enough for at least 30 mins cutting!
Been watching for this reducing and never seen it below 200 quid on Amazon.
From my experience, I would buy with confidence, hope it helps! Still £180 on Amazon!

I've owned the earlier - but very similar - DLM380z for around 5 years. It's perfect for doing our smallish lawns that total just over 40m2. A pair of Makita 3Ah batteries are enough to do that in one sweep in the summer. My Makita batteries are 6 years old now and still going strong.

First cut after winter can sometimes be a challenge - if the grass is both very long and damp. Technique I use is to push the handle down (the main handle not the cutting-height lever) to raise the front wheels up. Pushing the mower forward on only its rear wheels eases the strain on the motor by taking only the top half off. Then pull back, drop the front wheels, and do the second push with all four wheels on the ground. Takes longer but gets the job done for one-offs. Otherwise, for the rest of the year, its cordless freedom and lightweight transforms a job I've always hated with previous petrol/corded mowers. (edited)

Do Makita mowers have a roller on the back?

    No this doesnt

How much do batteries and charger cost on top?
  13. benjefreys's avatar
IMO these are ok if you have a small patch of grass to cut, they chew through batteries quickly. I use this for our front garden as its light and small and a big petrol Hayter for the back. Dont expect this to cut a medium garden otherwise you will need a few sets of batteries.

Anyone have any experience how this one compares to WORX? I've been very disappointed with the 3D printed quality of WORX tools

Just had a quick Google and found the same mower on bell bristol for less. Really am tempted to take the plunge and buy one now. Any idea if bell bristol are legit?
