Engineered for performance and reliability
The PowerColor Hellhound RX 7900 XT adopts a triple ringed-fan solution, a set of heat pipes running through the heatsink, and a copper plate directly touching the GPU while covering VRAM to achieve better cooling efficiency. In addition, the product is built with 10+3+1+2+1 phase VRM design and DrMOS that has IMON real-time digital monitoring, aiming at providing reliable performance output during gaming.

High-quality Japanese dual ball bearings
Dual ball bearings reduce rotational friction, providing excellent heat dissipation and effectively doubling the expected lifetime of the fans.

Intelligent fan controller
Utilizing temperature detection from a smart chip, fans will start running when the GPU reaches 60℃ and shut down below 50℃. Efficient cooling, fan-noise reduction, and extended product lifetime are all benefits of a more accurate temperature monitoring.

Excellent ring-fan blade design
The 9-blade design of fans generate better airflow and air pressure under the same noise level, improving cooling performance to reduce GPU temperatures by more than 3℃ compared to previous generations.

GPU direct-contact copper plate
The copper plate area has been increased to provide direct contact with the GPU while covering VRAM to increase the heat transfer threshold to the max.

Vertical fin heatsink
A large heatsink with vertical fins spaced closely is mounted on PCB and offers better heat-spread area and radiation, allowing airflow to disperse heat efficiently.

Turbulence reducing fan rotation
The middle fan spins in the reverse way so as to reduce the air turbulence between neighboring fans when drawing in cool air. The mechanism therefore maximizes the airflow and pressure when less turbulence occurs to offset, further to lower the noise level without sacrificing the cooling efficiency.

Optimum heat-pipe arrangement
A set of nickel-plated copper heat pipes align closely above the PCB to more quickly and effectively transfer heat from the GPU and VRAM to the cooling array.

Car-grade power module DrMOS with iMON real time digital monitoring
Hellhound adopts a 10+3+1 phase VRM design with DrMOS to power the GPU as well as an additional 2+1 phase specifically designated for the VRAM. The IMON technology monitors and reports the electric current and power consumption on each individual phase. By balancing the workload, the Hellhound ensures unparalleled stability and thermal protection during overclocking. In addition, high-quality car-grade polymer capacitors features long-lasting durability and high conductivity lowers power loss during transmission.

High-quality PCB design
A premium 14-layer high TG PCB board - including a 2 oz power layer - is utilized in the Hellhound RX 7900 XT; a PCB such designed decreases signal loss during transmission: important especially for higher-end GPUs with increased demands for higher currents and stability.

Anti-sag bracket
A robust metal bracket is installed on the side of the PCB and is supported all the way to the I/O plate, making the card stand firmly in place inside the chassis.

Metal reinforced backplate
The metal backplate strengthens and protects the internal components from PCB bend, and a cutout design on the back plate allows exhaust heat to properly flow through for heat-dissipation efficiency.

Amethyst LED color
Hellhound of this generation features an amethyst LED lighting while retaining the previous ice blue. Gamers are able to choose the color they want by flipping the switch on side of the card. Ice blue shows coolness and elegance while amethyst represents mystery and charm.

Dual BIOS Mode
Hellhound RX 7900 XT features Dual BIOS built-in and a switch for easy swapping.

Solid price. Performance isn't bad at all for the money, above 3090Ti levels and more energy efficient. (edited)

More powerful than the 4070ti and also avoids any VRAM anxiety and with FSR3 hopefully coming soon will be even better

Like flash, GPU prices are now in (relative) freefall. Ngreedia has worked to make GPU sales a disaster over the last few years (4090 aside). Now AMD has launched RDNA3 chiplet GPUs into the sub 500 quid position (Sep 6), and the 4070 and 6800 family have to PRICE CRASH (and will do so), dragging down the price of everything below the 4090 in a continuing spiral.

Do NOT buy just yet. Give the 7800XT and 7700XT a chance to hit and make their impact first. You are going to love what happens to the prices of GPUs you want.

some would argue that prices are reaching flatline because we are coming into another shortage due to AI acceleration and regular GPUs are also good enough as a cheap option

Brace yourselves, I can hear the footsteps approaching...

Been hovering over the buy button on this for the past couple of days. The only things holding me back are the reports of coil whine and the cheap look of the shroud (which is utterly stupid as I don’t have a windowed case but it still bothers me).

FYI Scan have the Sapphire pulse available for pre-order for £739 which comes with Starfield and some idiotic gaming glasses. Stock due in next week.

1080ti wasn't £400. I owned one, they were around £750 and stayed at that price for ages as the 20 series was really poor value and didn't bring any significant performance gains. I sold my 1080 Ti for £500 just before the 30 series launch so not sure when they were £400?

Anyone who ordered this may want to check their order status. I had my first order on credit declined without reason and when I placed a second order in full on my credit card, my 2nd order was also declined without notification or explanation. Might just be me, but figured it might be the case for others too.

I'm just happy a few of these 7900 XT's actually fit in my case!
Though this one would be a tight squeeze, lol.

Not buying till next year anyway, but nice to know I have some options.
This is a great price for those buying now!
