Consider this as a basic backup phone for calls only & it is a bargain, do not consider it for any "smartphone" functionality

This is solely for other mobile phone offers which need a trade in phone. The 3G network is being dismantled ATM so this isn't even a good backup phone

Well 4G wasn't even out when this phone was released 12 years ago. In fact it was within 2 years of the original 2G only iPhone coming out. Vintage I think is the best word, good luck with the battery lasting more then a few months.

Flashed mine with android, it's slow and unusable. Just a paperweight now

Don't forget TCB for an extra 5p off.

The mugs at Samsung might give you money off with this.

This is a 'high-end' Windows PDA from a long forgotten era. Every Windows fan should own one- but almost no-one will use it. As a phone- honestly just don't. Changing it to Android is a seriously BAD idea.

    I don’t recommend ,
last time I ordered 2 phones and I found them rubbish so I asked refund and they told me you can keep them with the refund

Unless you know what you are using this for this is just a waste of money. It was obsolete in 2011. This was a fashionable phone then, but sadly it performed poorly soon after its release. Its only current use will be as a keepsake in a display case.

What's the max size SD card these can take?

I'm considering getting one to use as a voice recorder, if there is a native recording app already on it. (edited)

Why are so many of these still floating about? I bought one back in the day and I remember paying around £150 for it second hand. I bought one of these deals a few years ago for nostalgia's sake but ended up CEX'in it after realising it's almost useless.

    .....Why though?
    fiqqer's avatar
Because it was one of the first Windows phones. Lots of organisations are tied to the windows environment so bulk ordered the phones only to realise windows for phones was rubbish. So there are a lot of unused phones out there. I purchased many of these as proof of concept - which failed as they were buggy and connection was poor. So had a lot of these collecting dust

    Garbage.. please stop buying landfillers
    jamesmherbert's avatar
While I have no idea why you would buy it, BUT to be fair, buying it actually stops it from going to landfill......Just saying lol

How many more HD2’s are for sale? They never ending. I ordered one from eBay around 2 years ago, was basically new, never used, not even a small sign of use. It’s useless right now unless you are very nostalgic about Windows Mobile or you want to install some customs ROM’s but i think original OS it’s the best now because it’s useless.
