I've got an order in for the £200 Picard Collection out in a few months and it's hard to argue towards keeping it finding TNG at such a low price.

Star Trek : Picard devalues that collection by over 50%. This is a great price though. (edited)

im always worried at remastering old stuff onto better quality - it just shows up the poor makeup and sets from the earlier seasons.

I picked up the Lord of the Rings Middle Earth Collection during the recent 4K sale.

The original trilogy can't hold up in 4K. The start of the third film you can see the actors sitting on the fake rock with a tiny mound an obvious pasted background behind them. The natural "blur" of 1080p or less masks visual effects, so 4K is great for dramas, but sci-fi really can't take it.

This does look good in 1080p unlike Andromeda and Farscape on blu-ray. (edited)
