I have the lidded one and personally find it too shallow.
I'm not sure how this would perform as a kadai though as this range of svoville are quite heavyweight and don't heat up as high.
Also Scoville warranty sucks too. When the coating peels or flakes, they will always say it's due to being too hot. No issue with any other non-stick product, just Scoville.
Avoid!
