I always thought this was over-priced. So I've just redeemed this. And everything's behind a paywall? Like only series 1 of the Oasthouse is included. I don't understand the business model.

It's quite an easy business model
They give you access to lots of free stuff, but the good stuff is behind a pay wall
Save your credits for 241 sales and only get the credits when they are on offer for £1/month or £4/month
Also cancel every 3 months sometimes you get free credits or free £10 audiobook wallet transfers
I have had loads of audio books for £2-£4 some of the audiobooks are 50+ hours long
I think that represents fantastic value for money
They can't let you have access to every audiobook for £8/month that would be a disastrous business model for both Amazon the authors and the narrator's.
When my latest 3 month for half price ends. I cancel the account. Wait 14+ days and email asking if there's an offer for returning customers. I've always got offered it and rarely ever paid full price (I've forgot my timings twice). Just cancel and email asking for returning offers.. Not as good as this mind but good for returning customers.You don’t even need to do this. Just save the ‘half price for 4 months’ link to your favourites and 1 minute after your sub ends just click the link again in your favourites and sign up once more. No need to email them or anything, I’ve done this for about three years. (edited)
Remember that you can't use your credits if you cancel - set a reminder a week before the 3 months is up and don't do what I've done before and leave it to the last day to spend 4 credits, not have time to find anything and end up paying full price for another month (and repeat).
You can put your membership on pause, but only once they say. (edited)
Next time if not sure what you want to get just postpone your account for think it’s 90 days. I went to cancel as my £3.99 deal was ending and renewed at same price but paused for a while. Can still listen to anything you have purchased and gives you some time to decide what to use your credits on.
So if we take this offer and get 3 books with the credits over 3 months then cancel can we go back and still listen to the audios when cancelled?
Yes, you can listen to any audiobooks you purchased with credits even after you’ve cancelled.- The advert is on the Audible homepage so no need to google. But it is indeed for new customers only I can confirm that.
Hope it helps someone but if you sign up to your local council library, there are many benefits! The main one ( for me ) is free access to BorrowBox and it’s Audio and E Books hire -you get them for 5/7 days and then you just re hire like you would at library so there’s a lot to like(y)
It showed me £1 a month then I clicked to pay and it tried to charge me 7.99 bloody cheek.
Same with me, but then it actually went through with £1. Can't say it will be the same for you, but might be worth risking/complaining about.
