I bought an Honor View 10 back in 2018 and it has this exact problem. In the pursuit of longer battery life, Honor kills apps in the background that's not whitelisted by them so notification rarely works for non-mainstream apps, they tried very hard to hide battery optimisation options under smaller menus (I was 5-6 menus deep just to get to it). My Poco F3 is stuck on fastboot cycle and Xiami wants a fortune to fix it, but I could buy this phone for £40 more!
The only reason I bought it is my daughter bought it at the weekend, the screen takes priority for me as I travel a lot and watch stuff on the plane etc and I love the screen, deep blacks and great colour, brightness. She says she gets just under 2 days of good use on full charge.
The pics are actually fine despite the several negative comments, video is pretty good too, it also seems super smooth....and as others have said, fairly future proof.
Considering the great reviews this got at the launch price, this is a steal. IMHO

I must say it’s a very good phone indeed. Display is beautiful with the curved edges. Battery life seems excellent. Sound from the single speaker is a bit pony.
Anyone know how fast their shipping is? Oh I see, they mention 1-2 days, but somewhere else on their website. (edited)
Also the 6GB RAM +5GB Honor Boost RAM, is that enough for general usage and somewhat future proof.
