Radiator balancing

Hi,

I had new radiators fitted throughout my house in the summer. It's reached winter and I've found the two vertical radiators downstairs are taking forever to heat up.

I've watched a few YouTube videos and come to the conclusion they probably didn't balance the system after fitting the radiators.

I was about to try to do this myself but was immediately stumped - the lockshield valves on the two vertical radiators look completely different to all the ones I've seen in YouTube videos and the standard radiators I have upstairs.

The valves in the videos I've seen look like this. I understand how to adjust these, using pliars to turn the spindle:

However mine looks like this. There is no spindle. How do I adjust this?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but i cant seem to find any information online about this and can't find any instructions.

Really appreciate any help.

All the best.

Thanks, I think I will get in touch with them actually.
I thought I'd try myself but on second thoughts don't want to mess it up and have them blame anything on me.

Allen key, or if no suitable size AK available:
bodge with large enough flathead screwdriver.

    Thanks everyone.
My main takeaway has been: get them back in (again)
But very good to know for future reference.
    It's been a learning experience!

Get them back in & while they are there get them to clean to clean off all the green stuff which is the excess flux they should have cleaned off at the time.

    It is corrosive

Really? Blimey, thanks for that, I'll have a word.
Unfortunately, it doesn't surprise me, they did a load of other stuff in the house and have had issues with a lot of their work unfortunately 🤦‍♂️ (edited)

Yeah try and check if bleeding works. My upstairs all needed bleeding after work but the bathroom one still doesn't work but that fixed the bedroom ones. Waiting on builder to come back to fix the bathroom one.............

You need a rothenberger ratchet spanner for those tails or a 1/2" Allen key (4.99 at screwfix) (edited)
