Early bird discounts start from 8th Nov, then 11.11 is where the extras come in includes 5 day delivery and free returns.

AliExpress, an international online retail marketplace under Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, will launch its 11.11 Global Shopping Festival offering the fastest delivery times to date and will feature millions of products discounted by up to 50%.

The 2023 11.11 Global Shopping Festival of AliExpress will commence at 08:00:00 GMT on 8 November – with a three-day warm up period to 07:59:59 GMT on 11 November, where ‘early bird’ consumers can browse discounts and add products to their carts to make the most of the Shopping Festival, and participate in daily draws in the app offering various products as prizes. The sale on the full selection of products will start at 08:00:00 GMT on 11 November and close at 07:59:59 GMT on 18 November. “AliExpress’ 11.11 Global Shopping Festival this year is set to be the most exciting yet, where customers will benefit from lots of new user upgrades including free shipping, free returns and faster deliveries alongside the usual great deals and discounts,” Gary Topp, European commercial director of AliExpress.

Consumers for the first time will benefit from this pioneering cross-border e-commerce logistics service in the U.K. This service guarantees delivery within five working days for items ordered from the AliExpress Choice channel, marked with a ‘5-day delivery’ label and shipped from China.

This will also be the first AliExpress 11.11 Global Shopping Festival where customers from the U.K. can enjoy free returns on one item of each order within 15 days of receiving their purchase. This policy applies to the vast majority of products, giving consumers peace of mind when shopping during AliExpress’ largest sales event of the year.

Steeper discounts will be one of the key differentiators during this year’s 11.11 shopping festival. In the U.K. will save £3 for every £15 spent to a maximum of £12 per order.

In addition, AliExpress will offer some of its best deals and most popular products on the ‘Super Deal’ channel, a one-stop shop that will feature over 10,000 products with 20% to 50% off.

    Don't trust AliExpress!
I had to return a faulty item (Android car stereo).. sent it back to Hong-Kong recorded delivery.. the seller claimed they never got it.
AliExpress rejected my refund request. I opened up a dispute and provided tracking details and proof of return. They closed the dispute.. No refund. Out of pocket £150. So now claiming it back on the credit card. Never use them!

Be glad you used credit card, same experience as you, faulty carplay system, £181, ive sent it back seller is messing me around left right and centre keep getting emails from ali express saying theyve closed my return with no refund so i know whats going to happen. Paid through visa debit like an idiot, may have to see if bank will help, any advice

Dodgy website especially with their poor customer service. I bought an item worth £200 which got delivered to the wrong address. Even after being told by AE to obtain proof from the post office, AE refuse to refund me. After waiting three entire months, I contacted my bank to return the money. These thieves at AE do not know how to read let alone how to handle disputes.

Don't trust Aliexpress. I placed 10 orders together worth £57, only received 2 of them, but they marked all 10 as delivered. I contacted the seller, had no response, and then contacted Aliexpress. They rejected my dispute as I did not have enough evidence. I then asked for evidence that it was delivered to me but they showed me the tracking information from China, which does not know which UK courier they used. I still contacted my local post office but they did not have any parcels for my address. Now I'm trying to get the refund via PayPal.

Temu have really impacted AliExpress sales hence they are offering this new proposal. Still hate seeing VAT added at checkout with Aliexpress, much prefer vat inclusive pricing of Temu.
    James_L's avatar
Yeah the Missus was raging about the VAT, but she hates Temu's search functionality.

Our driver is great. He always has a treat for the dog as well, very nice guy too. A couple of times I had a ripped package and he let me know immediately and said if there's anything missing to let him know (gave phone number) and he'd put in a claim... luckily nothing was missing, but such a nice guy.
I got my newest phone from ali too, £240 for brand new poco f5 256GB/8GB ram, took about 2.5 wks, most of that sat in china warehouse, but once it started moving again only took about 3-4 days to get to me.

there is a sale on at the moment, as well, just got 20 three-blade razors for £1.80 (picks have to buy three items) as well as few other goodies, no problems with deliveries except they tell you it is arriving about ten minutes beforehand, and free returns on a lot of stuff with no questions asked (to uk depot so 3-5 days to get the refund not months). I have had one return accepted but was supposed to front UPS delivery fees to China but I got the money back by other (ruthless) means so did not lose out (don't ask).

Bought some blades from AliExpress once, never again they shredded my face...

    Awful
  9. Weliam's avatar
    Beware...

I had used them for a few years. If you want to return items, they open a dispute and they can reject your return.

My last straw was when they sent me zinc batteries but clearly advertised alkaline but my return was rejected.
    Grey101Ace's avatar
Yes I've had that recently, they rejected a return even though I sent lot of evidence proving the item was not as listed, they just ignored, gave partial refund after I disagreed with their first rejection, I've ended up opening a PayPal dispute.

I'm not sure if it is related but suddenly had a lot more phishing emails and automated voice calls, with Chinese text and speech......

I've only ever ordered low-priced phone accessories from them. The odd time the cases don't fit or the colour is way off I've usually recieved enough of a partial refund to shut me up.
Recently, I made a bulk order of a party balloons for reselling purposes. 3 different variants, 150 of each. Total almost £2k, 3 delivery consignments. Somehow the baskets did not charge me any shipping for a total weight of maybe 45kg!
I even emailed the seller after I paid to see if he can offer any discounts but he said the price I got was cheaper than what they actually offer!

Kept eye on tracking for like 2weeks. And then had Parcelforce confirm they had 2 items.
Missed a delivery, so rescheduled. No attempt made.
    Rescheduled again, no attempt made.
So ended up taking a short drive to the depo where the guys had a look and found the 2 shipments.
No sign of the 3rd package. Sender confirmed tracking details which were the same as what I already had. I was bricking it for a 3rd week when i suddenly got a tracking update with a 3rd item being delivered which turned up o time.

Thank you for attending my TedTalk .

Having had a bad experience with AliExpress and returns. I would say not to trust them.

They gave me an returns address to some place in hong kong. Cost me something like £18-20 to ship it to that address and the postal service there returned it about 3 weeks later because there was no such address and customer support was no help so i am doubly out of pocket.

AliExpress gave me an address that didnt exist and waited till the returns window was closed before responding to me.

If i had known it was a fake address. I would have just resold what i had bought on ebay instead.

That was my first 'fairly big' purchase from them (I bought something that cost me about £60 or £70) but i'll be sticking with them for smaller/cheaper items that are semi disposable/consumable. Things like bicycle innertubes or fishing lures that work out a fair bit cheaper than big brands in the UK (edited)

These sites have the worst customer service, don't expect any. Something goes wrong you will have to post a biography and still will keep you in the loop and do nothing about it and will ask you to post same stuff again and again possibly with intention of letting refund window close. Onbuy is another bad site. Not sure about temu. I used PayPal woth a few purchases so was able to make a case and get money back.

    Is that:
Save £3 for every £15 spent to a maximum of £12 per order.
Only if you buy £15 of one type of product?..
I just put more than £15 worth of different items in a basket, all with that offer supposedly linked to them, but I can't see any discount applied. Or has that deal not started yet even though it's plastered all over the place?.. (edited)

Sounds fair but how many deliveries will actually be recieved due to using the useless courier company that is called EVRI. Have stopped using Aliexpress because of EVRI.

same here , feels like you found a good price and deal only for vat to be added on at checkout , kills the purchase excitement , as if we don't pay enough tax as it is. We poor get skinned twice , first tax's on our wage , then tax's on top of everything we buy with money that has already been taxed , not to forget council tax , and ulez tax , next tax the air we breath , greedy government

Been using AliExpress for years, no issues. Ordered a screen for my car, faulty, returned it, chasing refund 2months on, ali express keep ruling in seller’s favour and now have it with an order that i ordered in June that never arrived and won’t refund me, having to go through bank now, won’t ever use them again, all good til you have a problem unlike ebay etc
  23. jedisteel's avatar
I stopped buying anything major from them anymore...I had a few items in the past which were faulty even when I sent them video proof showing the faulty items...they will still refuse a refund or replacement....then we go down the whole PayPal route....the odd cable and that's it now. (edited)

Wish i paid through paypal, got a £200 screen i returned and i know the seller is going to say theres a problem when they receive it, any advice lol

I tried to order a cheap external DVD writer/player from Ali Express and Temu. There must be at least 50 from under £8 to more than £20. What could be wrong with an external DVD player/writer nowadays? In both cases, I received the same boxed item. One didn't work. I opend it up to discover the actual writer was manufactured in 2009!

How do you know you’re not buying from a dodgy seller on Ali express?
    Crossbow's avatar
Look at how long they have been selling & their feedback - the longer they've been selling with a good-excellent feedback score the better.
If you're ever in the slightest doubt, ask in the Discussion section hotukdeals.com/tag…oad OR hotukdeals.com/tag…ask & hopefully someone will be able to check & confirm for you either way & before the item/s sell out if the seller is a good/safe one.
Also, I'd say to pay with PayPal or a credit card as far as possible, & especially for high value items as if something goes wrong you have a 'better' chance of getting your money back.
Last but not least, if an offer seems too good to be true, do not buy no matter how tempting. (edited)

I used to use AliExpress but worried about returning the products. I've started using Temu since they have free return and delivery is fast also. I am converted to Temu now. Maybe this is to lure customers back? Either way, thanks for sharing OP! (edited)

Ali have actually improved, shorter shipping times, occasionally item missing or wrong but as I am a gold customer, get instant refund. Just saved 9 quid on an order of 44 on 11.11. most orders under 50 quid, would never send anything back for refund

I've only purchased cheap items from Aliexpress for the reasons outlined above. That said, ebay isn't exactly without its problems. I recently bought a Garmin sat nav on ebay. The seller claimed to be a Garmin authorised dealer and that Garmin warranted it. It was faulty. Garmin didn't want to know, and clearly say they don't warrant items sold on ebay, so I returned it to the seller. I went on holiday for three weeks and on return chased the item. After plenty of fruitless back and forth emailing to a clearly non-native English speaker (please be patient, please be patient was their response) I had to threaten the UK small claims court, which initially I suspect they didn't actually understand. Luckily they had a UK base address. I finally got a refund, but I was still down by the return postage cost.

I dont know whats going on with AliExpress.

The discount code above are not working for 50 pounds. And they have bumped up the prices within a day as well!

    Disappointing.
    pokemon2's avatar
the above codes are wrong, the min amount is £60. also it is not free returns, it is 2 free returns and must be qualified by them. it is a risk of using cheap suppliers
