Can someone help my dad identify this please?

Hi community wondering if anyone can help me identify for this for my dad. He's clearing out all his tools and garage in his later years and doesn't want to throw anything away that could sell for his retirement. I've never seen anything quite like it. It resembles a Ratchet but the girth (oo-er) Is something I've never experienced (yes I got that one aswell)

Thanks for any help. Best of happiness and well being to all

Yeah, my vote is for a torque multiplier, as suggested above.

Its a Drive tensioning Spigot handle for the reverse multiplex flange on a Flux Capacitor

(Only for the 1985 version though) later models are different (edited)

does the handle have a square hole in the end? Im thinking maybe 90 degree adaptor.

I'd just assume it was a ratchet with missing separate handle and backplate. Possibly came as a travel set for a car. Would assume the direction changes if you twist the back. Can't see how it can be anything else.

Yep, torque multiplier - similar ones retail for around £250
