Any low priced SMALL Android phones out there for Black Friday?

My parent's phone fell in the sink and now they're asking for a new one. It isn't used for anything more than the odd call, light browsing and occasional video calls via WhatsApp so it doesn't need to be the highest feature phone.

Their one sticking point is they really don't like how big phones are getting and ask for a smallish one. I've no idea where to start but primarily looking for something around the £100 mark. Any advice?

Small phones are dead. Everything has gone big now, Phones, tablets and TV's.

Your going to struggle to find anything current, with a screen sub 6.x inch now.

Apple have also stopped making mini models. The last one was the iPhone 13 mini.

You'll either have to find a new old stock model or buy a refurbished or 2nd hand one. Or get something 6.x.

The only other option is buy one of the 2nd/3rd tier lesser known Chinese brands (Blackview, Cubot, Doogee, ulifone etc) from Amazon, AliExpress, eBay or similar.

I'd worry less about size of screen and more on overall dimensions. For example an iPhone 8 plus has a 5.5 inch display and an iPhone 12 pro has a 6.1 inch display. However size of bezels around the screen and the ratio of the screen actually make the iPhone 8 plus substantially bigger. A base model iPhone or something like a pixel 7a or Samsung s23 are smallish phones. Use this website or similar to help compare phonearena.com/pho…411

I'm getting worried about the future dearth of pocket phones. What is it, are big screens better at selling things to people? May have to snag an iPhone 13 Mini earlier than planned, as my 2022 SE is working just fine.

People are addicted to certain anti social media apps or watching videos. So they want bigger screens.

Personally I'd rather have a 5-6" phone and then use a tablet for anything needing a bigger screen.
