Pixel + SD card?

Hey everyone,

I'm pretty sure the Pixel 7a would be a good fit for me. The only niggle, mostly, is the lack of sd card slot!

Is there a way to 'hack' this so go speak with some kind of usbc to micro USD or something similar? - obviously the less bulky the better! This is essentially for offline playing of music.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

you could just plug in a usb-c Flash drive.

Personally though i'd just stick with using the internal storage. There is a reason that faster phones don't come with microsd card slots, they are slow and unreliable.

If its big enough I will, will have to wait and see. I did find having tunes on an external card worked okay before. Sure a library sinc in Poweramp wasn't speedy but playback was fine.

Yeah! That probably would. I guess I could get a small male to female usbc lead too to make it more pocket friendly if required.

Either that or I bring the Sansa Clip out of retirement lol.

    Loving the username BTW

Just get a family Spotify group going, split it 6 ways with family\friends and it only costs you £35 per year each for all the music you want streamed.
Download a couple of playlists to use offline if needed. Even audiobooks included now.

I used to store all my music on my phone on big SDCards and play with poweramp, I'm just glad those days are over....

Cheers for the suggestion, however, quite a lot of what I listen to isn't on Spotify, otherwise that'd be a cracking idea. Perhaps it would have enough combined with a smaller volume of offline stuff though, interesting. Thanks.

Can you not just have the music downloaded to the phones storage?
Edit: just seen from other comment
MP3 tracks don't use much storage at all (edited)

I've got a 128 card and 128 on board at the moment, and both are fairly full, so getting a phone with just 128 seems a bit of a bad idea for me!

Track size, does depend on the quality of the mp3, or if its flac or something else instead.

Don't get me wrong, if I had to I'm sure u could manage on 128 but it'd feel more like a downgrade!
