Is it possible to keep your existing Three number in the order, or does it have to be done post-arrival?
    b0nsta's avatar
The only way to keep an existing three number on a new three contract is to port it away to another network using a PAYG SIM, and then port it back. Painful but doable

Brilliant deal, but my concern is roaming charges.

Can someone confirm that roaming is £2 and £5 per day for particular countries? That's a deal breaker for me. I was with Lebara for last two years with no any charges for roaming.

Is it a typical practice for major network providers to charge for roaming? (edited)

I'm in abroad in EU right now and on Three

This was the message I got:

We'll apply a charge of GBP2.00 to unlock your UK allowance to call/ text the UK, between EU destinations and to go online for 24 hours. If you have a Daily Go Roam Pass this will automatically apply instead. Full details at 3.uk/1ldt9. The charge counts towards your Spend Cap so if it is set to zero or you've exceeded your limit, you will not be able to roam. See 3.uk/90fq2 to change your Spend Cap. If you joined or upgraded before 1.10.21 we won't apply this daily charge. If your UK data allowance is greater than 12GB, any usage above this but within that allowance is 0.3p/MB. Once you have reached your allowance limit, any usage will be at our standard rates (up to GBP1.40/min, 2p/text & 1p/MB). Further info at 3.uk/ekiwb. If you don't want to be charged, turn off data roaming and use WiFi.

I just spoke to them and they said mine (black, 100gb p/m, ordered 23:30 on Tuesday) would definitely be fulfilled and the issue was a stock delay (rather than pricing issue some others have mentioned). Stock is expected in the next week or so. I'm in no rush and this deal is unlikely to be beaten so I would wait if it hasn't been cancelled yet.
    SJ17's avatar
    So you're definitely getting it?

51457241-aPjcH.jpgHi guys at shy mobile they are giving away 2 x smart watch worth £289 each for free when purchase s23 ultra 256 or any other.... Please check the picture above, I think it's a clitch..... Cheers
    Sifu_Blackthorn's avatar
You can add two accessories so you can add two watches.
Btw guy that’s a 36-month contract, so you’re basically paying £1440 to get two watches. (edited)

Annnd my order has been cancelled.

They asked for proof of ID and address which I supplied, but I got an email just now saying we are unable to proceed with your order.

For our (and your) security we cannot provide any additional information and our decision in this case is final...

    What a joke.

Yeah I had the same issue before in the past, when I contacted Three. They told me the offer is only for people who've had a contract with Three network in the past year or so I believe. Because I was previously on O2, and haven't been on a contract with Three recently. I wasn't eligeable, they told me I would need to buy any sort of contract with Three and stay for a minimum of 3 months I think, for me to be eligeable for the offer next time. (edited)

Just got a cancellation email citing a 'pricing error'. Poor form
  7. ste666's avatar
Possibly a stupid question, but how long are these deals normally on.
Wanting to sign up, but get paid in 10 days time.

Also, never been with three. How do they compare to o2 for signal/data speed

    Thank you
    i2pm's avatar
No one knows, from my experience these deals only lasts a couple of days (2-3 days) until they decide to up the price.

I can only say from living in South London and travelling to East London a lot, that 3 networks has better signal compare to O2 from my usage.

    Same here, plus this line:
Normally we would be able to offer the option to swap the colour of the handset, to the one we have in stock. But we are awaiting stock of all colours in this model.

I didn't but you definitly can.
But yes, it's a great price and most people use a case anyway.

    Order Cancelled

Thank you for placing an order with Mobile Phones Direct.

We needed to let you know that there was an error with some handset and tariff pricing on an affiliate website yesterday, and we’re sorry that you have been affected by this.

A number of handset and tariff deals were shown with incorrect pricing on that website. We’re sorry, but we’re unable to fulfil the order that you placed at that price.

We’ve cancelled your order and we’ve refunded any upfront charges that you paid to us in full. This will be back in your account within 3-5 days, but we’re working to get this back to you as quickly as we can.

We’d also like to reassure you that if any credit checks were conducted by our network partner during your order, these will be removed. Once removed, it can take up to 28 days to be reflected on your file. These timescales are provided by the credit bureaus that process the request.

We’re sorry to let you down.

What a waste of time and now all i care is whether they will remove the hard search done when placed the order otherwise will have to waste more time (edited)

That's a lot more detailed than what they sent me! I hope my credit checks will be removed

Just so you know in case your order hasn't been cancelled yet, I've just spoken to them and the black colour is now due to arrive in 45 days to update the stock, but they can change it to green, lavender or cream with delivery in 48 hours, so I did! It might help someone🤞 (edited)
    Iffy_P's avatar
45 days? Or do you mean 4 to 5 days
  19. Speculator's avatar
Just received notification of a delivery on Friday from Ingram Micro Services. I assume it's the free earbuds.
    Iffy_P's avatar
Yes it's the free earbuds I've received mine today.
  20. janlim's avatar
I just received my first three bills, it showed £33.05 instead of £17. Anyone has the same billing as me?
    Iffy_P's avatar
Yea I have a similar first bill, the bill included not only the usual monthly charge for your first full billing cycle, but also any charges for the time between your start date and the beginning of that full billing cycle. So by my calculation, they have charged from the start of your contract till the billing date (mine is 21st) + new billing cycle for the month ahead (22nd to 21st).
  21. The_narrow_path's avatar
Amazing deal, I wish they'd do something similar for the 256GB variant.

Everyone whose order got cancelled should leave negative reviews on trust pilot because they never do this again.
    janlim's avatar
Negative review to uSwitch or mobilephonedirect?

Has anyone received there's yet? I ordered at 08.21 on Wednesday, and there is no cancellation so far, still says pending on the site.

I don't think this is acceptable. Companies should commit to the delays they post and it should be a legal obligation.

    Did I understand it correctly that it is effective (17x24) + 159 = £567 - £294 worth of offers = £273 for the handset

    minus any cashback (quidco/TCB)
plus any increase in contract value in April
