Home phones

Virgin Media in their infinite wisdom have swapped my home line to a digital only one, rendering all the phone cabling in my house redundant in a single swoop. Consequently I need a QUAD pack of cordless phones, but can't find any 'deal' on a set anywhere. Anyone?

Existing old skool wiring won't / shouldn't be redundant - you just need the correct cable to connect to it.

Reasonably sure the VM telephone port is RJ11, so you'll (likely) need some variant of either RJ11 plug to BT431A plug, or possibly ideally RJ11 to bare end to drop directly into the back of an existing old skool telephone wall skt.
You may not need to disconnect the old skool source (incoming) from master telephone socket, but that is arguably best practice.

The problem with your existing phone wiring was that it provided power.
The new VM hubs can supply power, but not as much - they are marked as REN=3 which means in theory you could have 3 "standard" phones connected. The hub 5 has 2 ports, IIRC each one supports REN=3 per port out of the box, so it is possible to power 6 "standard" phones.
However VM is aware this may impact users and have provisioned for it. You need to ask for a CV21 conversion.

You should be provided at least 1 x RJ11 to BT adapter:

    Thanks for the answers!
Rather than me get engaged with the buffoonery that is Virgin Media customer services, is there currently any decent deals for a quad pack of phones, which I believe will only require a single connection to the VM hub?

So what kit are they providing in case of a power cut?

We’ve got digital with BT but our phones work fine, just plug the main one in the router and had no issues

Which implies you have a cordless telephone system,
whereas OP implies they do not,
hence OPs request for (quad pack) cordless system recommendations.

    Cut to the chase:
absolutely must have virtual assistant callblocking on a landline so as not aware of VM providing such a service consider credible silver quad option £69.99 "good as new" cert refurb from respected shifter on the bay
    ebay.co.uk/itm…392
or tenner more similar but diff model black
