Home projector advice

Morning, does anyone have any experience of mini projectors? No space for a tv in my bedroom so looking at something to use approx 8'-9' from the wall. Nothin too expensive, just for the occasional netflix? Any help much appreciated

There is a good YouTube comparison of all the budget ones. Otherwise Pico ones from branded ones are good.

    This guy is the one

I've been using projectors for almost a decade. Started with a cheap 720p refurb Optima from richer sounds and gone from there. (edited)

Interesting video, thanks for posting. My latest projector (an Optoma H180x) appears to be roughly where you started, can I ask what is a good upgrade from there? It's currently 720p and I'd like to at least move to 1080 if not higher. But it needs to be bright, it's currently rated at 3000 lumens and very usable even in my bright room. I'm guessing none of these budget ones will come close?

Plenty of options out there - you can ignore what is called short throw or ultra short throw. That opens you up to a much bigger selection and this is where your budget comes in.

Can't you wall mount the tv?? I think at that range you might be better off with a cheap tv.

Theres isnt a clear space for a tv so had hoped to put a projector on the headboard area with the projection against where we have built in wardrobes and use a screen in front of them
