Google flights works out cheaper but you need to put a bit more effort in finding the best price. Initially you will not get the best price but if for example it says view prices from £100 you drill down it comes up with cheaper flights. Try it out with a few examples....

Because you can select baggage allowance when searching

Do all these scanner sites include all airlines? Thought I'd heard that the likes of Ryanair wanted to be out of some of them. Anyway Google Flights seems to include all the cheapies. You can put an email alert for price changes on your specific search, but it seems only to a Gmail address.

Ryanair will give you grief if you try to book through a third party, but used to appear on Skyscanner etc for comparison. But if the site makes no commission then why list them, other than perhaps to encourage the belief that RA might not be as cheap after all, and you choose a company that does pay commission.
There could be a problem with scraping the data from a site without permission. Those in charge of Trolley found that out to their financial cost

I use Skyscanner but always book direct with the airline rather than a third party site - Just feels safer to do it that way.
Problem arises sometimes as Skyscanner prices don't take extras into account, especially luggage which makes comparison difficult.

I use both Skyscanner and Kayak. And if you are really booking systems savvy, then this site - it is the engine behind many well known companies like Expedia and is now owned by Google. But for power users only to really make the most of it.

I tried that other site for trips to Bud for after Xmas. It refused to give anything for Stansted or Gatwick, and only gave overpriced BA out of Heathrow, whilst telling you it was better and faster to use Google Flights

Tried them all and kiwi.com is the best as can include / exclude luggage. Set trip durations, departure and return range periods and get email alerts of price changes, set flight departure time ranges, exclude certain days of the week, set price ranges etc

    Eg.
