My mum just switched over, debating tracker or stay on SVR for now as don't want an xmas spike to put her off like last year!

My mam and dad have been given a cheaper tariff, on the condition you have an electric vehicle to charge. Dad is 90 and mam is 87, they don’t drive ! Great offer.

When are ofgem going to do something about the price of standing charge

Participate in their public consultation on it and tell them how it is a terrible tax like compulsory charge.

is this only for direct debit customers? cause it's not showing for me which I am on a Pay as you go Smart Meter.
When trying to choose a different tariff I get the following error:

Sorry, we don’t have any tariffs available right now
Energy prices are currently quite high, so we don’t have any other tariffs for you to choose from.

Whoopee! 40-50% more than my rate today on octopus tracker (4.9p gas / 18p electricity)

    Average this year 4.8p G, 19p E.

Gas futures pricing is at a year low so BG could make a killing off these high fixed rate prices they are offering
