Probably around now, prices will likely creep up after the new year etc. It's a quiet period for them.

After Christmas has always been the busiest time for holiday bookings. People need cheering up after the Xmas holidays so they book a summer holiday. (edited)

I've always found package holidays tend to be lowest around 4 weeks before and flights 12 weeks.

I worked for travel agent and January is always the busiest period so you may want to avoid it. On the other hand you are looking for a prime time period so generally the sooner the better unless you want to try to snatch last minute deal.

Have a look at holidaypirates.com. I would say earlier, the better. Last time I googled it, they said January is usually a good time to book.

Last-minute deals are getting later and later in the summer. Sometimes, don't drop significantly with companies like Jet 2 until 2 weeks before. (edited)

if you know where you want to go and have a hotel of choice, my advice, is book as early as possible. If you have flexibility and not overly bothered <4 weeks is best option via holidaypirates etc.

I have booked 2024 break in November black friday sale and the same holiday and dates booked today would cost me and extra £180PP .
