Royal Mail have it saying delivered and proof of delivery is a picture of the buyers doorstep. But the buyer says their was someone in all day and nobody knocked asking for a signature.

when they open a dispute to Ebay send them your tracking info and proof of delivery and they will close in your favour."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51957443","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"redcantona"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T11:34:18.000Z","text":"Nothing. I had a parcel disappear despite royal mail showing delivered. Someone must have taken it. eBay sided with the seller because of the delivery photo."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51961563","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"AMaky"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T20:10:22.000Z","text":"Provide the tracking info, wait for case to be escalated, win the case.
if buyer than appeals, make sure you speak over phone to eBay. eBay count as attempted delivery as delivered. however depending in who buyer speaks to, they can overturn first decision. so you need to phone eBay and they will also refund you so both be happy"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51958267","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"EndlessWaves"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T13:17:09.000Z","text":"Is the buyer's address visible on street view? If so does it match the photo of the doorstep?
Obviously if the address had a red door in a brick wall and the photo is showing a green door in a wooden porch then the buyer is probably telling the truth."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51958329","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"MadeDixonsCry"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T13:23:00.000Z","text":"As above. U have confirmation of delivery which is all ebay expect of you.
Buyer may have had their item stolen from their doorstep. Does the delivery service you used allow compensation if they sign the form stating item not received?"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51958805","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"master10"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T14:20:33.000Z","text":"I don't for the life of me understand why delivery companies leave parcels on the doorstep, without handing it to someone. Its in the open for anyone to take, its ridiculous. Why don't they do what they always did and try to redeliver or put a slip somewhere and put it in a place out of sight.
It may not be your fault, but it also may not be the buyers fault. The delivery companies should be covering the cost for this."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51962270","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Azwipe"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T21:35:55.000Z","text":"I had a similar situation 3 weeks ago, scammer buyer thought they could pull a fast one because the postcode showed different on the tracking. I simply messaged them saying it had been delivered and the postcode shown is the DPD depot.
Buyer didn't respond so after 3 days i escalated the dispute and Ebay closed in my favour.
OP: as long as you didn't deliver to an alternative address you are 100% covered by seller protection. If the buyer wants to argue tell them to take it up with Ebay. Don't worry about feedback as it will be auto removed."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51957879","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"AndyRoyd"},"datePublished":"2024-01-11T12:24:57.000Z","text":"Observations:
1) the hilarious ebay SELLER protection does not require recipient signature, just proof of delivery.
2) Buyer has STATUTORY protection of passing of risk (where STATUTORY trumps any ebay hilarity)
3) EBAY already has proof of delivery from the tracking info YOU ensured was (auto?) provided to ebay PRIOR to estimated delivery date
