Apparently, Amazon no longer accept Totum cards as proof of student status.

Has been mentioned on here a few times now

Totum Apprentice is accepted for Prime Student, hence the TA suggestion in first post.

Use whatever methodology you used to obtain Pro to obtain Apprentice.

Try applying for Prime Student status, and letting it fail once you have got as far as you can. Perhaps in a few months they will offer it to you anyway.
Whether that actually works or not, I don't know. But I tried and failed, obviously, and then 6 months later, without prompting, I was offered Prime Student free for 6 months, and student price thereafter. I am probably now a year into my membership, and had to prove or offer nothing. Others have commented they've had a similar experience

Did you actually send off a nus pro card and they originally rejected or did you just start the application and stop ?
    Thanks for any guidance

I know not being helpful but i find having prime is dangerous, end up buying all sorts a rubbish because of next day delivery. I end up leepin an eye on what i need and eventually will get either 99p for a month offer or 3 months free offer.

Amazon's own research shows people with Prime spend 40% more than those without and are also open to paying around 5% higher price because of the convenience factor. (edited)

any workaround to get a totum card (not the professional one as I’ve got that and it didn’t work ) so I can enable Amazon prime student ?

: info below lifted from previously deleted HUKD thread:

Workaround to obtain Amazon Prime Student for holders of Totum Pro cards with HUKD member confirmation of functionality during 2023:

    1) sideload "NUS Extra apk 2.0.10" to Android-based device
    2) login to app with NUS/Totum ID

EDIT: if the NUSx app doesn't recognise your TotumPro login credentials:
try resetting TotumPro password via web browser to a more basic / less complex password as indicated by @theakston_uk at (HUKD deleted thread) then re-attempt to login to NUSx app with new basic password.

    3) navigate to NUS Extra app profile page
    4) take screenshot (will show your mugshot + name + institution + card number + expiry).
    5) From your Amazon-registered email address, send your NUSx profile screenshot to
amazon-student-verification at amazon dot co dot uk
    as stated at archive.ph/9VW3E

May also function for later versions of Android NUSx app but only v2.0.10 tested functional.

IOS users may attempt to perform same via apps.apple.com/gb/…337 if Apple permits you to use your device for apps that ceased to function on 20 December 2019, otherwise just use the more flexible Android platform.

I've just had the email that I need to confirm I'm still a student before my renewal in March. I've had the student account for 2 years so should have another 2 before I can no longer extend it.

My Totum card expired last year and I didn't renew it. I was hoping Amazon would extend it as a student account automatically like they have done previously for me. I had student prime on another account for 4 years prior to this.

Is there a way of proving student status without buying a Totum/NUS card, any free courses I can sign up for?

TBH I'm actually thinking about letting it expire. My orders are mostly just subscribe and save items now. I don't use fresh any more since the minimum spend increased for free delivery and the offers aren't as good. I have 3 accounts so could just alternate the free month of prime they usually offer when I need it.

My Totum Pro card expires in 3 days. Been a good run. Only used it for 1/2 price Amazon Prime and 10% Superdrug instore.

It doesn't look like Prime is available on the Totum Apprentice card looking at the website. And there's no option to transfer from Pro to Apprentice, so I guess if you want to try it, you'll need to set up a new Amazon/Totum account

Totum does not dictate Amazon Prime Student eligibility; Amazon does, where Amazon states eligibility as:
A valid NUS Extra, NUS Apprentice Extra, TOTUM, TOTUM Student or TOTUM Apprentice card... Please note that TOTUM Pro/Professional or UNiDAYS ID cards are not accepted.

My prime ends next week so I'm still looking for a way to verify my student status. I've tried the NUS app trick and reset my Totum password but that doesn't work.

TBH I don't really want to pay for a Totum card as I didn't use it for anything else. I may just cancel my prime membership if there's no other way of doing this now. I don't use the benefits as much as I used to so probably won't miss it. If I do want anything on prime I'll wait for a free trial.
