I have had one of these 16L for 2 years, and also a Meaco 12L, I think this is much more powerful, and better as a "workhorse" especially for laundry, and this is much better value and a better purchase for most people. The Blyss can be a bit noisy in Laundry mode, but not too much more than the Meaco, and is actually very quiet if just running at 50% humidity level.
The Meaco is good as it has the Hepa filter thing and the night mode is quite good if using in a bedroom (but does get quite noisy when it kicks in), but for everyday use, the Blyss is my favourite of the two.
The Meaco really became the big name the last few years, but the Blyss is a very good machine, and at £144 is very good value these days (prices have really shot up the last few years). (edited)
