Bye bye cheap Adobe subscription

Hello HUKD fans,

Anyone who took advantage of this super deal posted back in June last year hotukdeals.com/share-deal-from-app/4154480 will need to cancel it soon unless you are willing to pay a lot more.
This is what I received from Adobe few minutes ago:

„We hope you are enjoying Creative Cloud All Apps (100Gb). We want to share an important update about your subscription price. You purchased your subscription using Lebanon as your purchase country. However, your subscription has been used predominantly in Great Britain. In order for you to continue to use your subscription, you will have to subscribe at the current price for Great Britain.

To avoid disruption to your work, we will migrate you to a new subscription within the next 30 days reflecting Great Britain as your country of usage, and the applicable subscription price of your plan. The new subscription terms will be the same as the terms under which you signed up, other than price. The price of Creative Cloud All Apps (100Gb) will change from LBP 891240 /annually to GBP 546.84 plus 20.0% tax /annually. For your annual, prepaid plan, as your plan is migrated to Great Britain, you will receive a pro rata refund for the original annual, prepaid plan in Lebanon.

(…)

If you take no action, your new subscription term will start within the next 30 days, after which you will have 14 days to cancel and receive a full refund.
Your new subscription will automatically renew annually at the standard subscription rate until you cancel (price subject to change). You will also receive a confirmation email containing the subscription detail terms.”

    "£500+ per year".

    Time to set sail.

Haven't received the mail, but luckily paid with a disposable card. Would recommend using them for things like this

It took 8 months for them to figure out you were not located in the country you purchased it in

Either look into blocking the apps Internet access or

Yeah, I hate all these subscription based packages - I still have the full retail versions and refuse to "upgrade". I paid silly money for them back in the day and don't like having to pay monthly.

I'm the opposite, for £10 a month I get the latest Lightroom and Photoshop with all the 'cloud' driven AI stuff and I also get to store an unlimited number of "Smart Previews' in the cloud so I can edit on any devices and the edits all sync back to my RAW files.

Back in the day a roll of film and development cost more than that £10 sub.

I haven't received any email either. Will have a browse through my junk folder

Nothing in junk. But plenty of time between now and June to send it (edited)

It probably depends on when you started your subscription.

Cheers for the heads up. Think I used a Virtual/Disposable card anyway but to be safe, already cancelled it.

You cannot remove it completely. You would need to replace it with a different card.

Mine is up to £165 plus 20% tax.. Is that good or can be had cheaper. Tbh hardly used it after getting it. But was useful for some stock images and video.
