    Rtings tells me my WH-1000XM2 lives another day. Better noise isolation and omg what is up with the travel case in the WH-1000XM5 ?!

    I have B&W PX7s, tried a friends 1000XM5s. Overall I think the Sony’s sounded more fun, heavier and warmer bass, a smoother sound when cranked right up. But in a quiet environment the B&Ws (my current ones, but also old PXs, P7s and P5) give far more definition, it’s amazing when you can start hearing the faint scratching of strings or the distant thud of a piano pedal! I wouldn’t change my B&Ws… but I’d probably end up enjoying the Sonys a bit more (edited)

    I’ve tried a pair of these at work. Disappointingly, the noise cancellation in an office is indistinguishable from my AirPod Pro (1st Gen). So I’ve decided to stick with my AirPods. Sound quality may be another story.

    These are great, the EQ is very poor out of the box and you will need to tinker to get it to sing.

    bought this yesterday. Description said for mine damaged box. so im expecting item and ll other parts to be included and fine. if not, I'll contact them and get some more money off if I'm happy to keep or will retun. not lost anything at this price. Got the XM4 headphones for the gym which are quality - if not a bit of a gym whiff!

    I’ve tried the XM3, 4 and 5.
    Difference between 3 and 4 is big, in my opinion, especially regarding noise cancelling.
    The difference between 4 and 5 is much smaller. On top of that, I prefer the XM4s headband.
    A big plus for the XM4s and 5s is that they can connect to 2 devices at the same time.
    But this is just my opinion.

    I picked these up last year for the same price. Returned them in the end because I just couldn’t justify the cost for my usage. However that said I did really enjoy them for a few weeks and my AirPods Pro 1st gen just sounded very tinny and lacking any depth in comparison.

    This is a really good price imo - bought the XM4 via Amazon Warehouse as a present at £190 during Christmas. No issues - crisp box, all manuals, working fine since. Must for longhaul travel!

    Would love to buy these but have had poor experience with the XM4 in ear equivalents having a severe battery drain issue that Sony refuses to acknowledge. A class action lawsuit in the US but Sony uk refuses to acknowledge it and wants me to pay for a fix to an issue they caused via a software update. Hundreds of users reporting the same thing on Reddit.
