    Are these any good?

If you apricate well balanced audio, No

If you only have £20 to spend on a speaker then it will do a job.

Ignore the 5 star reviews and people that say it sounds like something 10x the price as it simply doesn't. Listen to it side by side with something better and you will hear the difference instantly.

Problem when listening to audio products in isolation is that you have no idea what you are missing because it is not there, you don't know what you don't know.

Is it usb c ? ive looked on amazon can't find out ?
    barnesy99's avatar
    No, it's micro-usb.

These sound very tinny - while its cheap, I'd prefer to save up for a Bose

Have oe of these - decent not amazing - also have an Enacfire "toblerone" shaped one that I got for £18 (don't think they make them anymore) - and its far better than this. Probably fair enough at the price, not for much more though.

Does it beep or talk on connect/disconnect ?

I take it IPX5 can't be used in shower ?
    Chris's avatar
Yes beep’s on connect & disconnect.

I know it’s a lot more money but since I bought a Bose link I really haven’t looked back. Ive owned a couple of the Anker speakers over the years and yes they are great but if you can afford it buy a Bose. I can’t imagine having to replace it like I have done with the Ankers a few times. Heat btw op for the price 🔥

would these be good for going to the beach and a changing room (football)? dont fancy taking expensive speakers onto sand or around a changing room
    Cyb's avatar
I mean a car to get tot he beach would be better and a cloakroom to get changed it would be better but yes overall they are really good for listening to stuff on.

    AMAZING DEAL, but....
I paid for this full price weeks ago.
"I'm sorry it was a mistake". Another day a heart break. Shut it I don't wanna another sorry.

I've been using one of these in the last 3-4 years at the office. Low volume only, as background music. Absolutely happy with the speaker, it is just perfect for this task! Battery life is amazing, it needs a charge once a fortnight and it's on 8 hours every day. 100% hot deal!
If you need a speaker for a house party or you are an audiophile then look for something else. For 5-10 times the price, of course.

Any reason to get this over the Mini 3?
    Icon's avatar
Battery life is shorter on the Mini 3 but it has IPX7.

Get the best of both worlds and go for the Soundcore 2.

Had one for 5 years and use it every day, love it, sound quality is superb and battery is incredible.

For the price these are fantastic speakers. Find I use mine less since I got a Sonos Roam but I wouldn’t get rid of it.

Had one of these a couple of months and only had to charge it last week lol ! Great little speaker and doesn’t sound bad at all.

I have this Anker speaker and the Bose Mini SoundLink. For a fifth the money the Anker compares well. Clearly ‘different’ (and I would not dream of knocking the Anker in any way) but I purchased the Anker for functionality to use in my cycle bag on the basis it could get knocked around a bit more. On every level, this Anker speaker is nothing short of excellent at this price point and represents excellent value for money and it serves me very well.
    Recommended!

I've got 2 as you can pair them to get a 'left' and 'right' stereo effect. Which works really well. Having a BBQ or party, put one each end of the garden therefore filling the garden with good sound. My kids both have Bose portable speakers however and there is no contest on the bass, Bose takes it to the next level. However... for the £ these represent fantastic value and pretty reasonable sound overall in my opinion. Got more coins and want something a bit more premium, then let this deal go.

In what way? Delayed sound coming from an arbitrary direction?

Will this be an improvement over the built in speakers on the S23 Ultra?

Any idea if this can be used wired to a PC? A bit of googling says the upgraded version doesn't have AUX, but can the USB-C carry audio? Just thinking if I can use it when I want a break from wearing headphones.

Edit: Never mind, this one does have AUX... I think? Was looking at the Anker's support site for the Soundcore Boost Upgraded Version. (edited)

For an extra £7 you can get the next model up (Soundcore 2) which has double the loudness (12w v 6W) and is IPX7 ingress protected. It also has better bass according to the listing. (edited)
    FishAndCats's avatar
And is also often on offer for just £5 more, not sure why this one got so hot .. (edited)
  35. watfordshire's avatar
Does it say how many WATTS?
  36. HangTime's avatar
I think(?) This is only 6W so I'd definitely look for something a bit beefier just to give that flexibility for more use cases even if you don't expect to need much volume.

If the battery runs out, can it be used while it’s charging/plugged in? (edited)

Ended up getting the Soundcore 2 and the Mini 3. The Mini 3, although a little bassy (which you can turn down), was excellent and the Partycast is surprisingly good.
