Update 1
Don't touch the drop down menu - it only exists to add the Digital Version which isn't in stock. Just navigate to the add to basket option and it will add the console to the basket.
Good price for the OG console - in stock for delivery. Free click and collect but very limited stock for collection. The pulldown menu will take you to the digital version which isn't in stock so don't use it.

Actually, how much slimmer is the slim, is it 50 quid slimmer?
    bork13's avatar
3cm off the height, 1cm off the width, and 4.5cm off the depth - with the consoles stood up looking at the front

    Not enough for me personally
  2. skinrush's avatar
Surely one of the retailers will break cover and sell the slim for sub £400 soon. If that happens, I would definitely pay the additional £30 ish for the newer model with bigger SSD and quieter fan.
    SnoopZ's avatar
The fan is not quieter in the Slim according to tests that have been carried out that websites quoted a while back. The Slim also gets a little hotter.
  3. scousky's avatar
Is this for the digital version?
    dmannn's avatar
It literally says disk version in the title of the post.

Thank you, just picked one up from the local Game, they had a few in stock but most had some slight box damage, good price as nearly paid £449 last week for the same....

  7. a_steve84's avatar
Think I'm going to hold out and see if comes down further, I'll bite at 300.
    deleted2963453's avatar
Me too I think 300 is the sweet spot, there aren't enough games I'm interested in to excite me just yet for the PS5 and I still have plenty of PS4 games I haven't got round to (still sealed!) (edited)

Heat for those selling their Xbox after MS announced last night they are beginning the transition to a multiplatform publisher and their first party games coming to PS5.

Oh no not sea of thieves what will I do, the betrayal
  9. SPLE22's avatar
By the time I can afford this, the PS6 will be out...
  10. cvirikmichal's avatar
Much less noise then Slim, and no lags on Grid Legends 🤷🏻‍♂️
    SnoopZ's avatar
Sounds like you have an issue if it lags on a Slim.

But I agree the OG is quieter and is a little cooler, if I was buying new I would go for an OG as I'm so happy with mine.

🔥 very little difference between this and the slim unless the 175gb extra on the slim is a dealbreaker
    bork13's avatar
Could put the difference to at least a 500gb SSD

If you select digital edition it's not in stock and then the menu changes to select the disk version:

The add to basket is on the side of the page:

Select "digital edition" and you get the following:

What are the chances of this coming with 4.51 firmware?
    User552850's avatar
4.51 was March '22. I'd say about a 0% chance a PS5 bought from GAME today would be that outdated.
  19. dmannn's avatar
It's so weird, I should be pulling the trigger on this, but the other half of me is "but surely the ps5 pro won't be long" lol.
    deleted2963453's avatar
Hmm good point, could even be later this year for all we know
  20. mart321's avatar
Was surprised to hear yesterday that sony said the PS5 is approaching the end of its lifespan. Seems like it's not been out that long. Still feels relatively new to me.
    malachi's avatar
Yeah, when the first 18 months it was hard to purchase due to the component storage.

    Still, no PS6 anytime soon.

    Hi

Has anyone had one of these delivered from Game ? If so, did it arrive in good condition ? Cheers
    TJMillarMcGuigan's avatar
Yeah brand new in a box. Few marks on the corners of the box. Rest was perfect
